A method analyzes applications for modernization. Processor units analyze each application in the applications in isolation from other applications to identify issues in code for the applications and a number of common code components. The processor units create a directed graph structure using the issues identified in the applications and the number of common code components. The directed graph structure includes relationships between the applications, the number of common code components, and the issues identified. The processor units determine a common code component modernization cost for the number of common code components using the directed graph structure. The processor units determine an application modernization cost for a set of the applications using the directed graph structure. The application modernization cost for the set of the applications takes into account the common code component cost for modernizing the number of common code components a single time.

Application modernization

A method and system for joining a Wi-Fi network with a mobile device based on historical device behavior includes detecting, using a mobile device, a new Wi-Fi network connection is available for connection by the mobile device. The method and system includes determining that the new connection meets a first connection threshold based on first connection factors. The method and system further includes analyzing historical data regarding acceptance of Wi-Fi network connections for the device. The analysis of the historical data is used to determine a pattern for accepting a connection. The method and system includes determining when to accept the new Wi-Fi network connection based on the new connection meeting the first connection threshold based on the first connection factors, and the second connection threshold based on the historical data.

Automatically joining a Wi-Fi network with a mobile device based on previous device behavior

A computer-implemented method of analyzing a plurality of metrics associated with one or more real-time streams of time-series data. For each metric, a set of time-series data for an interval of time is received, and one or more feature values determined from data of the stream prior to the interval of time are retrieved. One or more updated feature values are determined using the one or more retrieved feature values and the received set of time-series data, and the one or more updated feature values are stored in the store. The values of the metrics are then determined from the updated feature values, the plurality of metrics are then analyzed, for example to perform anomaly detection.
