A light assembly includes a substantially closed housing, a light source, a thermoelectric device, and a moisture expulsion device. The housing is defines a chamber, and includes a lens. The light source is adapted to direct light from the chamber and through the lens. The thermoelectric device includes a cold side and a hot side. The cold side is adapted to form condensation from moisture in the chamber. The moisture expulsion device includes a first segment in contact with the hot side and adapted to receive thermal heat from the hot side, and a second segment in contact with the first segment and exposed to an external environment for dissipation of moisture. The second segment is adapted to receive thermal heat from the first segment, and condensate from the cold side.

Light assembly with water vapor removal system

A vehicle lamp is provided with a housing for mounting to a vehicle and defining a outward opening. A lens is attached to the outward opening of the housing to define a lamp chamber therebetween. The lens has an appearance portion and a concealed portion. A condensation trap feature is formed along an inner surface of the concealed portion of the lens.

Vehicle lamp

A headlamp assembly for a motor vehicle having a light source, a chamber that receives the light source and a cooling channel for removing heat from the chamber. A conductive wall and an insulating wall cooperate to define the chamber and the channel. The conductive wall has a substantially higher thermal conductivity than the insulating wall to promote the heat exchange between the chamber and the cooling channel and to reduce heat exchange between the cooling channel and the relatively hot engine compartment.

A lamp system having a housing, wall portions defining a cavity and an opening. A light source, generally an LED, is located within the cavity and at least one thermoelectric device is disposed in one of the wall portions. The thermoelectric device has a first side oriented towards the cavity and the second side oriented away from the cavity. When in operation, the thermoelectric device will transfer heat from inside the cavity, via the first side of the thermoelectric device, to the second side of the thermoelectric device.
