A sight adjustment assembly has a frame with a clamping mechanism for receiving and clamping a handgun slide with an attached stationary sight and an adjustment mechanism for engaging and adjusting the sight in a lateral position with respect to the slide. The sight adjustment mechanism and the clamping mechanism are contained within an outer periphery of the frame during storage and use to thereby provide a compact device that can conveniently accompany a user for sight adjustments in the field.

Portable apparatus and method for adjusting handgun sights

A bracket assembly for adjusting the elevation of a bowsight includes a first bracket portion and a second bracket portion spaced from the first bracket portion and adapted for connection to a bowsight. A first pivot arm extends between the first and second bracket portions and is connected thereto via first and second pivot joint assemblies, respectively. A second pivot arm extends between the first and second bracket portions and is connected thereto via third and fourth pivot joint assemblies, respectively. A range adjustment assembly is operably associated with one of the pivot arms and the first bracket portion to thereby cause pivoting movement of the first and second pivot arms and thus movement of the second bracket portion with respect to the first bracket portion to thereby adjust the elevation of a bowsight when connected to the second bracket portion.

A quiver assembly for detachable connection to an archery bow includes first and second releasable locking members connectable to an archery bow and a quiver. The first locking member has an elongate base with a dovetail-shaped projection. The second locking member has a dovetail-shaped groove for receiving the projection of the first locking member. Concave depressions are formed on each side of the projection. A locking lever is pivotally connected to the second locking member and includes a lever portion for manipulation by a user and a cam portion with a cam surface that engages one of the depressions when the first and second releasable locking members are connected together. The quiver assembly also includes a hood with an insert having a brightly colored surface to thereby illuminate the hollow interior under ambient light conditions without the need for artificial light.

A sight assembly for aiming at a distant target by a user includes a sight housing having a sight window; a lens connected to the housing in alignment with the sight window; a depression formed with the lens; and an illuminated sight point for superimposing on the distant target. The illuminated sight point includes an artificial light source located in the depression. In this manner, the light source is protected from the outside environment to thereby protect the light source against inadvertent separation from the lens.

An archery bow stand includes first and second legs having first and second connecting portions for engaging archery bow structure, and first and second support portions extending from the connecting portions for supporting the archery bow. The first and second legs are identical in construction and pivotally connected together. The first and second connecting portions together forming a hollow interior within which a biasing member is located to alternatively bias the legs toward the closed position and the open position. A pivot joint creates an internal gap so that the internal biasing member can travel across the pivot joint when the bow stand is opened and closed. Resilient overmolding on the legs protect the bow against damage when supported by the bow stand. Arcuate projections on each leg can be grasped by a user to facilitate opening and closing of the bow stand with one hand.

An articulated support stick for supporting a weapon or other device, includes a handle for grasping by a user, a cradle connected to the handle for receiving and supporting the weapon or other device, a leg for supporting the handle while directing a portion of the weight of the weapon or other device along the leg, and an articulated joint assembly connected between the handle and the leg so that the handle can be manipulated by the user about mutually orthogonal axes with respect to the leg to thereby adjust the cradle portion and thus a position of the weapon or other device while preserving the user's strength.

An arrow rest assembly for connection to an archery bow includes a first support frame having a first axis and a first support assembly having a first support member extending from the first support frame towards the axis. The first support member is adjustable toward and away from the first axis such that an arrow shaft axis can be aligned with respect to the first axis of the first support frame. A second support assembly has a second support frame connected to the first support frame with at least one second support member extending from the second support frame to form a central opening for receiving the arrow shaft. The at least one second support member extends around at least a portion of the second support frame to capture the arrow shaft within the central opening to thereby prevent inadvertent dislodgement of the arrow shaft from the arrow rest.

A hybrid bracket assembly for mounting an archery sight or other accessory to an archery bow includes a core and a frame. The core has a plate constructed of a material having a first stiffness. The plate has a first side, an opposing second side, and a peripheral edge located between the first and second sides, and at least one set of mounting holes extending through a thickness of the plate for mounting the hybrid bracket assembly to the archery bow. The frame includes a moldable material with a second stiffness less than the first stiffness. The moldable material extends around at least a segment of the peripheral edge and overlaps an area of the first and second sides of the plate.

A bowstring release mechanism includes first and second jaws pivotally connected to a housing with a trigger section operably associated with the jaws for moving the jaws between open and closed positions. The jaws include opposing faces that are in a juxtaposed relationship when the release mechanism is in a closed position. Due to deviations in manufacturing tolerances and wear, a gap between the jaw faces may vary in size. To that end, an adjustment portion is operably associated with the trigger and jaws for precisely adjusting the size of the gap. A second adjustment portion for adjusting the sensitivity of the trigger section is also provided.

A selective sight assembly for a sighting device associated with an archery bow or similar devices, has a frame portion defining a sight window and a sight portion connectable to the frame portion. The sight portion includes a sight pin connectable to the frame portion and a light conduit connected to the sight pin for movement therewith. The light conduit has a first light coupling end and a second light transmitting end that defines a sight point for view by a user. A plurality of light collectors are provided, with each light collector having a second light coupling end for selective optical coupling with the first light coupling end. Movement between the light conduit and the light collectors causes optical coupling between the first light coupling end and one of the second light coupling ends. The frame portion is rotatable about three mutually perpendicular axes to enable tuning of the selective sight assembly for a particular archery bow configuration.

An arrow rest for supporting the shaft of an arrow includes a first support frame and a plurality of support members connected to the support frame for defining at least a portion of an opening with a central axis for receiving the shaft of an arrow. Each support member has a base portion connected to the first support frame that extends towards the shaft of an arrow, and a support portion that extends from the base portion for tangentially engaging the shaft of an arrow in a direction at least generally parallel to the central axis.

A bowstring release mechanism includes a housing and first and second jaws pivotally connected to the housing. The first and second jaws have first and second opposing faces. At least one of the jaws is movable with respect to the other jaw. A gap between the opposing faces is also adjustable through a slot formed in a the housing and an adjustment member for adjusting a width of the slot to narrow or widen the slot, and thus the gap.

A reflective sighting device includes a reflective sight component having a reflective surface for facing a user and a light source arranged for projecting a reflected image onto the reflective sight component for view by the user along a line of sight. A first focal plane of the reflected image is closer to the reflective sight component than a second focal plane of a distant target, so that movement of the reflected image is minimized as perceived by a viewer when the reflective sighting device is subjected to small unwanted movement.

An illuminated sighting device for an archery bow includes a bracket member for mounting to an archery bow, a frame portion with a sight window adapted for connection to the bracket member, and a first set of optical fibers connected to the plurality of sight pins. Each optical fiber has a distal end forming an illuminated sight dot coincident with its respective sight pin. A plurality of elongate light collectors, in the form of a second set of fluorescent-doped optical fibers, are optically coupled to the first set of optical fibers via a retaining member that is removably connected to one of the bracket member, frame portion and sight pins such that one or more of the light collectors can be removed and replaced independently of the first set of optical fibers.

A selective light assembly for a sighting device associated with an archer bow or the like has a plurality of light collectors, such as optical fibers, that serve as sight points. An artificial light source is adapted for projecting radiant energy in a direction toward the light collectors and a base member is operatively associated with the light source. The base member has at least one window adapted for alignment with at least one of the light collectors. At least one of the light source and base member is adjustable between first and second positions, such that the radiant energy projects through the base member and onto first and second light collectors for selectively illuminating a sight dot associated with one of the light collectors.
