An electromechanical brake device has a brake caliper and a pressure piston mounted in the brake caliper such that it can move in a clamping direction, wherein the brake device has an electromechanical clamping device, wherein the clamping device is supported, on one side, on the pressure piston and is designed to apply to the pressure piston a force acting in the clamping direction. It is provided that the brake device has at least one hydraulically sealed, fluid-filled cavity, wherein the clamping device is supported, on the other side, indirectly on the brake caliper via the fluid-filled cavity, and wherein a pressure sensor is hydraulically connected to the fluid-filled cavity and is designed to calculate the fluid pressure inside the fluid-filled cavity.

Electromechanical brake device

A brake disk with a friction ring or to a friction ring, which comprises a PMMC (particle metal matrix composite), at least in the region of its friction surface. A planetary gear assembly, in particular for an electromechanical service or parking brake for a motor vehicle. The planetary gear assembly can include a central sun gear, a plurality of planetary gears rotatably mounted on a planetary carrier, and a ring gear enclosing the planetary gears. The planetary gears can be mounted by the planetary carrier, such that the planetary gears roll off both the sun gear and the ring gear, whereby the sun gear, the planetary carrier or the ring gear is non-rotatably held by a holding unit with a holding torque. A force-sensing device can be arranged between the holding unit and the non-rotatably held element, or between the holding unit and an intermediate component non-rotatably connected to the held component. The force-sensing device can measure the force acting between the held component and the holding unit as a result of the holding torque.

Planetary gear arrangement particularly for an electromechanical service brake or an electromechanical parking brake for a motor vehicle

A method for operating a brake installation of a vehicle. A first electrically controllable pressure provision device provides brake pressure for actuating hydraulically actuatable brakes. A first electronic open-loop and closed-loop control unit, and a first pressure detection device, measures brake pressure provided by a primary brake system. A secondary brake system between the primary system and a part of the wheel brakes has a second electrically controllable pressure provision device provides brake pressure for actuating at least the part of the brakes. A second electronic open-loop and closed-loop control unit, and at least one second pressure detection device, the signals of which are processed in the second electronic open-loop and closed-loop control unit. The secondary system monitors the primary system based on signals from the second pressure detection device and on a predefined brake pressure demand to build up a brake pressure corresponding to the predefined brake pressure demand.

A brake system for vehicles, comprising hydraulically actuatable wheel brakes, a first electrohydraulic brake control device, having an associated pressure-medium. The first brake control device comprises a first pressure-providing device for supplying the wheel brakes. An inlet valve and an outlet valve for setting wheel-specific brake pressures, and a wheel-specific output pressure connection connected to the pressure-medium reservoir by the outlet valves. A second electrohydraulic brake control device, comprises a second pressure-providing device with a first pump having a suction side and a pressure side for supplying a first wheel brake of the wheel brakes. The second brake control device is connected downstream of the first brake control device and the suction side of the first pump is connected to a first of the output pressure connections of the first brake control device. A check valve is connected in parallel with the outlet valve of the first output pressure connection.
