A vehicle glass run system includes an inner panel that is coupled to a ring frame. The inner panel, as coupled to the ring frame, defines an assembly. The inner panel exhibits a first tolerance, wherein the assembly of the inner panel and ring frame exhibits a second tolerance. The second tolerance is greater than the first tolerance. Both the inner panel and ring frame include flange portions which are coupled together, and both include a distal end. The distal end of the inner panel is disposed outboard of the distal end of the ring frame. A glass run reinforcement member is located to the distal end of the inner panel in assembly, such that the glass run reinforcement member is subject only to the first tolerance of the inner panel.

Glass sealing system

An applique assembly for a vehicle door includes a body defining an attachment surface with an edge. The body has a margin extension member coupled with the attachment surface inward of the edge that defines a margin channel open toward the edge. The assembly also includes a margin seal having a first portion receivable within the margin channel with a second portion extending inward over and spaced apart from the margin extension member outside the margin channel.

The tire deflation device () includes a rail member () having a support portion () and a piercing portion (). A combination tailgate and ramp assembly is provided for a pickup truck which includes a tailgate 28, a ramp 52, anchor means 32 in the form of a laterally extending anchor rod 44 accessible through a pair of windows 46, 48 in the tailgate 28 and mounting members 58, 60 pivotally engagable with the anchor rod 44 to provide a ramp surface to the inner surface 42 of the tailgate 28 upon insertion of the mounting members 58, 60 into pivotal engagement with the anchor rod 44.

A tailgate construction for a pickup truck provides a tailgate 28 having an attachment means consisting of the rod 44 extending laterally of the tailgate 28 between its side portions 36, 38. A pair of windows 46, 48 is formed through an inner surface 42 of the tailgate to provide access to the rod for purpose of anchoring tie down mechanism.

Tailgate construction

A fixed glass mounting assembly for automotive vehicles is provided in which a combination stop and spacer is provided in a mounting block that is carried on a flange of the vehicle body surrounding a window aperture. The mounting block is fabricated as a compression molded part made from a polypropylene fiber material to present a soft, smooth surface at its interface with adjacent window parts.
