Disclosed are techniques for installing an exterior-mounted light bar accessory underneath a factory-installed rear spoiler on a liftgate of a vehicle while leaving intact the rear spoiler and a liftgate spoiler sealing system fitted and mounting components used during factory installation of the rear spoiler by attachment to the liftgate, the liftgate having a top side margin and the vehicle having a roof with a rear end, the rear spoiler mounted at the top side margin of the liftgate and at the rear end of the roof, and the liftgate having an outer surface with first and second curved distal ends.

A light head includes a heat sink, a circuit board in heat transfer communication with the heat sink, a light source mounted on the circuit board such that heat generated by the light source when energized is transferred to via the circuit board to the heat sink, a collimating base having a cavity for receiving the light source, and a collimating lens structure on the outer surface of the base projecting outward from the outer surface of the base for transmitting substantially collimated light from the base. A signal lighting beacon for a vehicle has a base and a plurality of LED arrays mounted on the base. the LED arrays are arranged to direct light signals outward in multiple different radial directions. Each LED array has an LED array circuit board having plurality of LEDs and an electrical connector mounted thereon. A common circuit board is connected to each of the plurality of LED arrays by electrical connectors on the common circuit board. The electrical connectors of single-sided LED circuit boards can be substantially identical to the electrical connectors on a single-sided common circuit board disposed at an angle relative to the LED circuit boards. The connectors can be connected to one another by inserting spade terminals into corresponding sockets from the sides of the sockets. The LED arrays can be pivoted relative to the common circuit board without withdrawing the spade terminals from the sockets.

A light fixture includes a light source and inner and outer trough reflectors. The inner and outer trough reflectors may have coaxial imaginary linear focal axes. Each of the inner and outer trough reflectors may be configured to collimate light emitted from the light source.

A light bar may include a light head with chip-on-board (COB) light emitting diode (LED) and an optic component mounted adjacent to the COB LED. The light bar may comprise short and long center modules. The light bar may include a plurality of housing modules where each housing module includes a light head and a lens cover having a top portion that is substantially impervious to ultraviolet radiation, and a lens portion extending downward from the top portion in generally opposing relationship with the light head. The light bar may include a circuit board including a wire-to-board connector, and a light head including a wire-to-board connector mated with the wire-to-board connector on the circuit board to electrically connect the light head to the circuit board. The light head may include a holographic diffuser.

A modular light bar having crisscross lighting in the front and rear. Each module may include two horizontal layers of lighting supported on supports connected to a longitudinal base. A wire harness is positioned within a longitudinal channel in the longitudinal base, with the harness having one end connected to quick disconnects within the modules and having another end connected to a controller. Each of the light bar module is serviceable independent of the other light bar modules, such that the support positioned within and connected to the light bar module being serviced is removable from the light bar module without accessing the other light bar modules by disconnecting the quick disconnect positioned within each light bar module being serviced.

A mounting foot for mounting a light bar on a roof of a vehicle includes at least one platform. The platform includes a recess for slidably receiving a base of a light assembly to mount the light assembly on the platform. The light assembly has a base fixedly secured to the platform and a light enclosure rotatably connected to the base of the light assembly.
