A spring apparatus that has a section that is predominantly horizontal and a section of the spring that is predominantly vertical. The multiple spring assembly design allows for increased surface area, fluid flow, and improved heat transfer properties. The unique design allows the spring to fit in tight spaces and decreases issues when manufacturing complex spring designs and allows for efficient heat and fluid flow inside a tubular.

A shifting tool for use in a wellbore includes a tubular housing having a bore formed therethrough; a tubular mandrel disposed in the housing and longitudinally movable relative thereto; and an engagement member moveable relative to the housing between an extended position, a released position, and a retracted position, wherein: the engagement member is movable from the retracted position to the extended position in response to movement of the mandrel relative to the housing, and the engagement member is further movable from the extended position to the released position in response to movement of the mandrel relative to the housing.

Remotely operated isolation valve

An integrated fracking system includes a substructure assembly including one or more frame rails. The integrated fracking system includes a pump subsystem having a frac pump and a motor. The pump subsystem is coupled to the frame rails of the substructure assembly. The integrated fracking system includes a variable frequency drive, a transformer, and a cooling subsystem, each coupled to the frame rails of the substructure assembly.

An evaporator apparatus, system, and method can be utilized for separating, purifying, and refining contaminated fluids. The evaporator comprises a burner, a conically shaped heat sink to form an evaporate from the fluids with profiles arranged on the liquid contacting surface a unique multiple surfaced apparatus for collecting the evaporate, condensing the evaporate as purified water separating it from the evaporator, a device for collecting the unevaporated brine.

A well servicing pump system for a hydraulic fracturing system includes a first permanent magnet motor, second permanent magnet motor, and crankshaft. The first and second permanent magnet motors each include a rotor mechanically coupled to or integrated with the crankshaft. The well servicing pump may include gearboxes coupled between the rotors and the crankshaft. The well servicing pump system also includes a fluid section that includes an inlet, a pressurization chamber, and an outlet. The inlet and outlet are fluidly coupled to the pressurization chamber. The well servicing pump also includes a plunger mechanically coupled to the crankshaft, the plunger at least partially positioned within the pressurization chamber.

An integrated fracking system may include a substructure assembly including one or more frame rails. The integrated fracking system may include a variable frequency drive (VFD) coupled to the frame rails of the substructure assembly. The integrated fracking system may include a transformer coupled to the frame rails of the substructure assembly. The integrated fracking system may include a pump subsystem. The pump subsystem may include a first frac pump, a first motor operatively coupled to the first frac pump, a second frac pump, and a second motor operatively coupled to the second frac pump. The pump subsystem may be coupled to the frame rails of the substructure assembly.

Dual pump integrated fracking system

A frac system includes power generation equipment and a power storage device used to provide electric power to one or more pieces of frac equipment. The frac system includes a power controller used to control the source of the power to the frac equipment. The power controller may measure the charge status for the power storage device and the electrical power load being used by the frac equipment. The power controller may engage or disengage the power generation equipment based on the measured charge status and electrical power load, may control the source of the power provided to the frac equipment, and may control whether the power storage device is being charged.

Wellsite adaptive power management system

A method includes supplying a plurality of generators, each generator in electrical communication with a switchgear with each switchgear in data communication with a generator data management system. The method also includes supplying a plurality of electrically driven fracturing pumps with each electrically driven fracturing pump in data communication with pump data management system. Further, the method includes supplying a load shedding system, the load shedding system in data communication with the generator data management system and a pump control system, the pump control system in data communication with the pump data management system. The method includes determining which pumps should have speed reduced by the load shedding system and reducing the speed of the pumps determined by the load shedding system using the pump control system.

Wellsite electrical power management system

A method of drilling a wellbore includes drilling the wellbore through a formation by injecting drilling fluid through a drill string and rotating a drill bit. The drill string includes a shifting tool, a receiver in communication with the shifting tool, and the drill bit. The method further includes retrieving the drill string from the wellbore through a casing string until the shifting tool reaches an actuator. The casing string includes an isolation valve in an open position and the actuator. The method further includes sending a wireless instruction signal to the receiver. The shifting tool engages the actuator in response to the receiver receiving the instruction signal. The method further includes operating the actuator using the engaged shifting tool, thereby closing the isolation valve and isolating the formation from an upper portion of the wellbore.

A method of actuating at least one of a plurality of downhole tools connected to at least one hydraulic fluid line is disclosed. The method includes the steps of:&#x2014; A control unit for operating one or more than one of a plurality of downhole tools connected to at least one hydraulic fluid line is also disclosed as including a timer associated with each of the one or more downhole tools, the timer permitting hydraulic fluid to communicate with the respective downhole tool if supplied via the at least one hydraulic fluid line during a window of time. A timer apparatus for use in downhole wellbore for permitting controlled activation of a downhole tool at a point in time is also disclosed as including a valve associated with an energy storage mechanism and which is arranged to move the valve when the energy is released to actuate the downhole tool. A system of downhole tools is also disclosed as including two or more downhole tools, at least one hydraulic fluid line, wherein each of the two or more downhole tools is connected to the at least one hydraulic fluid line and at least one control unit comprising at least one timer, wherein each of the one or more downhole tools is connected to a timer, said timer permitting hydraulic fluid to communicate with the respective downhole tool. A method of controlling flow downhole in a wellbore is also disclosed.

Method and apparatus for actuating downhole tools

A method of actuating at least one of a plurality of downhole tools () connected to at least one hydraulic fluid line (L, L) is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: a) providing each of the downhole tools with a control unit () comprising a timer which permits fluid communication between the at least one hydraulic fluid line and the downhole tool during a window of time; and b) controlling the pressure in the at least one hydraulic fluid line for at least a sufficient period of time required to at least actuate the said downhole tool, wherein the said sufficient period of time coincides at least partially with the said window of time. A control unit for operating one or more than one of a plurality of downhole tools connected to at least one hydraulic fluid line is also disclosed as including a timer associated with each of the one or more downhole tools, the timer permitting hydraulic fluid to communicate with the respective downhole tool if supplied via the at least one hydraulic fluid line during a window of time. A timer apparatus for use in downhole wellbore for permitting controlled activation of a downhole tool at a point in time is also disclosed as including a valve associated with an energy storage mechanism and which is arranged to move the valve when the energy is released to actuate the downhole tool. A system of downhole tools is also disclosed as including two or more downhole tools, at least one hydraulic fluid line, wherein each of the two or more downhole tools is connected to the at least one hydraulic fluid line and at least one control unit comprising at least one timer, wherein each of the one or more downhole tools is connected to a timer, said timer permitting hydraulic fluid to communicate with the respective downhole tool. A method of controlling flow downhole in a wellbore is also disclosed.

A long-stroke pumping unit includes a tower; a counterweight assembly movable along the tower; a drum connected to an upper end of the tower and rotatable relative thereto. The unit also includes a belt having a first end connected to the counterweight assembly, extending over the drum, and having a second end connectable to a rod string. The unit further includes a prime mover for reciprocating the counterweight assembly along the tower; a sensor for detecting sudden acceleration of the counterweight assembly due to failure of the rod string; and a controller in communication with the sensor and operable to activate the braking or arrestor system in response to detection of the sudden acceleration. The unit further includes at least one of a braking system for halting free-fall of the counterweight assembly; and an arrestor system for absorbing kinetic energy of the falling counterweight assembly.

Long-stroke pumping unit

The present invention generally relates to an isolation valve with debris control. In one aspect, an isolation valve for use as part of a casing string is provided. The isolation valve includes a housing having a bore and a valve cavity. The isolation valve further includes a valve member movable between a first position in which the valve member obstructs the bore of the housing and a second position in which the valve member is disposed in the valve cavity. Further, the isolation valve includes a flow tube configured to allow movement of the valve member between the first and second positions. Additionally, the isolation valve includes an engagement assembly adapted to engage the flow tube to substantially prevent debris from entering the valve cavity when the valve member is in the second position. In another aspect, a method of operating an isolation valve in a wellbore is provided.
