A flexible barrier film, including a polyester layer, and a vapor barrier film having a base layer and an inorganic layer disposed on the base layer, and a heat sealable layer having polyethylene. In addition, the flexible barrier film includes a first adhesive layer having a polyurethane component, interposed between the polyester layer and the vapor barrier film, and further includes a second adhesive layer having a polyurethane component that is interposed between the vapor barrier film and the heat sealable film forming the flexible barrier film.

Methods of creating an internal channel of a fluid-ejection device are provided. One method includes encapsulating a channel core in an element of the fluid-ejection device that corresponds to the internal channel and dissolving at least a portion of the channel core.

Methods for creating channels

A fluid supply providing fluid to a fluid ejection cartridge, includes a chassis that partially defines a variable volume chamber. The chassis has a sealing surface disposed proximate an opening in the chamber. In addition, the fluid supply includes a compressive layer formed from an ethylene propylene-diene copolymer and an isobutylene isoprene copolymer. Further the fluid supply includes a fastening device disposed on the chassis holding the compressive layer to the sealing surface forming a fluidic seal of a diaphragm pump.

A fluid transport conduit for conveying ink-jet ink from a reservoir to a printhead in an ink-jet printer is provided. The fluid transport conduit comprises at least one inner layer, such as high density polyethylene, cyclic olefin copolymer, or polypropylene homopolymer, that is flexible and is a barrier to liquids, and at least one outer layer, such as nylon or polyvinyl alcohol, that is a barrier to air and is softer, or more compliant, than the inner layer, with the inner layer bonded to the outer layer. The two layers are advantageously co-extruded to form the fluid transport conduit.
