Window hinge assemblies including a hinge pin support and methods of using the same are described herein. The hinge assemblies include a track assembly, a shoe slidably engaged in a track of the track assembly, a sash arm configured for attachment to a rotating sash, the sash arm being pivotally attached to the shoe, and a connecting arm. The track assembly includes a base extending along a track axis, a shoe track extending along the track axis, a hinge pin attached to the base of the track assembly, and a hinge pin support restraining an upper end of the hinge pin from movement relative to the base.

Window hinge assembly and methods

A housing of a device comprises a screw boss that extends outwardly from a first base plate proximate to a corner of the housing. Additionally, the housing of the device includes a force dissipation member. The force dissipation member includes a central portion that is sized to detachably attach around the screw boss. The force dissipation member further includes at least two arms that extend outwardly from the central portion, wherein each arm of the at least two arms is attached to a different side of the two walls of the housing.

Protective housing for a mobile device

A docking station for mobile electronic devices with an automated cleaning feature is provided. The docking station includes a receiver for receiving an electronic device, a base, a piston, a nozzle, and electrical contacts for connecting to the electronic device. The piston has a plunger and an air chamber. The receiver is mounted to the plunger, such that pushing the receiver in a downward direction forces the plunger to compress air in the air chamber. The nozzle is mounted on the air chamber. Air passes through the nozzle when the air in air chamber is compressed. The electrical contacts are positioned directly under the receiver. The nozzle is directed towards the electrical contacts, whereby air is directed over the electrical contacts when the receiver is pushed in a downward direction.

Automated contact cleaning system for docking stations

An emergency override system for a machine is disclosed. The emergency override system may have an input device configured to generate a stop signal. The emergency override system may also have a receiver configured to receive the stop signal. The emergency override system may further have a controller in communication with the receiver and connectable to a signal pin, which is configured to indicate a travel direction of the machine. The controller may be configured to stop a travel of the machine by applying a threshold voltage to the signal pin, when the receiver has received the stop signal.

An improved arrow and sliding stabilizer therefor are provided. The sliding stabilizer is used for stabilizing arrow flight, instead of fixed or glued tail feathers, vanes or other fletching. The invention improves current projectile technology with reduced assembly labor cost, the elimination of bow clearance issues, improved accuracy with the consistent production of the sliding stabilizer, easy replacement of the stabilizer in the field, and improved arrow storage. A sliding stabilizer is designed to slide along the shaft of an arrow and comprises an annular wing and a plurality of fins. In use, the stabilizer is positioned at the front of the arrow prior to launch, and the arrow slides quickly through the stabilizer until secured at a stop position at or near the trailing end of the arrow.

Apparatus (,) for the application and even spreading of flowable roofing materials such as bituminous mastics which includes an elongated, hollow delivery bar (,) adapted to be pulled across a roofing surface and having a plurality of material delivery openings (,) along the underside thereof, as well as a material spreader (,) positioned adjacent the bar (,). The spreader (,) includes first and second elongated, generally side-by-side brooms (,) in trailing relationship to the bar (,). The first broom (,) is generally concave, whereas the second broom (,) is substantially rectilinear). A tubular handle (,) is coupled with the bar (,) for delivery of heated material thereto. A temperature gauge (,) is mounted on the handle (,) in close adjacency to the bar (,), allowing the user to closely monitor material temperatures at the point of application. An alternate delivery bar (,) has individual nipple-valves (,) affording better material flow control.

Spreader broom unit for application of roofing mastic

An improved torch assembly (10) designed for use in the formation of roof lap joints even in cold weather is provided which includes an elongated handle (12) having a low profile torch head assembly (17) secured thereto. The assembly (17) has a drag shoe (14) adapted to receive a torch head (16) and direct combustion products through a rearward outlet opening (54). Minimal torch head assembly height is provided so as to avoid cracking of stiff lap weld material during cold weather use, and is achieved through use of an elongated, rectangular in cross-section torch head (16) which fits between upper and lower walls (24, 32) forming a part of shoe (14); the head (16) has a number of large area air inlets (74) owing to its rectangular configuration, allowing generation of sufficient heat to give lap welds of high integrity. In an alternative configuration, a carriage assembly (76) is coupled with the torch head assembly (17) for supporting a roll (77) of roofing material above the torch head (16).

Low profile roofing torch

A built-up roofing structure (10) is provided which is characterized by low dead weight, enhanced fire retardancy, and ease of construction. The structure (10) includes a lowermost deck (12) with integrated, insulative sections (24) applied thereover and adhered in place by a novel fire retardant mastic (27); the sections (24) each include a preformed expanded foam layer (14) covered by a roofing board (16). A modified bitumen membrane (18) is applied over and completes the roofing structure (10). The improved mastic includes asphalt, low volatility mineral spirits and a fire retardant additive such as an intumescent glass, and particularly a borosilicate glass. The mastic is advantageously applied using a spreader apparatus (30) having an elongated, tubular, apertured mastic delivery bar (32, 58) and spreading means (46, 62) with a plurality of separate, spaced apart, lightweight trailing spreader chains (48). An alternative embodiment is provided in the form of an integrated roofing section (24a) which is constructed with a solvent-free, water-based emulsion (68) used to bind an unfaced roof board (16a) to a foam layer (14a). The emulsion (68) can also be used as a substitute for hot asphalt in the construction of roofing upon metal decks.

Fire retardant roofing adhesive and method of applying same

A torch assembly for use in fabricating and repairing roof joints includes an elongated handle presenting a forward upper end and a lower rearward end, and a torch supported adjacent the lower end for directing a flame away from the handle. A roll of bituminous material is supported on the apparatus so that the material may be dispensed from the roll in a rearward direction as the apparatus is pulled forward by the handle. An elongated shoe is supported on the handle and includes upper and lower wall sections which are connected together at the rear end of the shoe, and at least one side wall section which extends between the upper and lower wall sections and defines a flame-receiving cavity for substantially surrounding the flame directed by the torch. The shoe diverts the flame in the flame-receiving cavity upward and rearward toward the bituminous material being dispensed from the support means so that the bituminous material is heated as it is applied along the roof joint.

Roofing torch

A built-up roofing structure (10) is provided which is characterized by low dead weight, enhanced fire retardancy, and ease of construction. Fire retardant roofing adhesive spreader

A mastic spreading device (68) is provided for even application of roofing mastic to metal decks or other roofing surfaces. The device (68) includes an elongated, apertured delivery bar (70) equipped with a plurality of laterally spaced apart, nipple-type valve members (88) operatively associated with corresponding delivery bar openings (86). In preferred forms, the bar (70) is equipped with elongated outlets (80) which are received within the confines of respective valve members (88). The valve members (88) are operable to prevent inadvertent flow of mastic from the bar (76).

Roof mastic applicator

An improved torch assembly (10) especially designed for use in the formation of roof lap joints is provided which includes an elongated handle (12) having a shoe element (14) coupled to the lower end thereof and equipped with a rearwardly extending, marginal barrier wall (18). A torch (16) is secured within the shoe element (14) and is oriented for delivery of flame downwardly through the open end of the shoe element (14) and at an oblique angle relative to the barrier wall (18). Preferably, the handle (12) is in the form of an elongated tubular body (20) which is coupled to a cup-like torch head (52) secured within the confines of shoe element (14). In another embodiment, torch (10b) is provided having shoe (14b) and an adjustably positioned diverter (80) carried by the shoe (14b) for directing flame downwardly beyond the trailing edge of bottom wall (36b) of shoe element (14b). Another torch (10d) includes a diverter (94) carried by shoe (14d) which directs flame upwardly in order to preheat a material (108) prior to application thereof to an underlying deck (110).
