A physical exercising machine includes a platform to support a user, an aperture formed in the platform, a pulley device includes a shaft for engaging with the aperture of the base and for pivotally attaching to the base, a shank is extended from the shaft and pivotal relative to the base with the shaft, a bracket is rotatably attached to the shank, and a pulley member is rotatably attached to the bracket with a spindle, and a cable is engaged with the pulley member, the pulley member is pivotal relative to the base with the shaft and rotatable relative to the shank for preventing the pulling cable from being disengaged from the pulley member and for allowing the user to suitably actuate or operate the pulling cable.

A skiing simulating exercise machine includes a supporting base for supporting a user, a pair of retractable couplers attached to the supporting base, and a pair of handle devices coupled to the retractable couplers for being grasped by the user and for simulating a skiing operation. The supporting base includes a beam for attaching the retractable couplers, the retractable couplers each include a rod slidably engaged in a housing, and a spring biasing member coupled between the rod and the housing for retracting the rod into the housing. A method and apparatus are provided for at least partially disinfecting biological fluid of a mammal, which comprises pathogens in addition to normal cellular fractions. The method includes placing the biological fluid in a reaction volume and contacting a non-thermal plasma with the biological fluid to thereby kill at least a portion of the pathogens within the biological fluid.

A non-thermal plasma reactor is provided for treating a liquid with non-thermal plasma species. The reactor includes a liquid inlet, a liquid outlet, a reaction volume between the liquid inlet and the liquid outlet and at least one non-thermal plasma electrode adjacent to the reaction volume. A dielectric barrier discharge system includes first and second non-thermal plasma reactors which are coupled together in series. The first reactor includes a first surface discharge electrode which defines a first discharge path along the first surface discharge electrode. A second threaded unit is mounted threadedly on the first threaded unit and adjustably abuts against two opposite sides of the mounting unit so as to permit adjustment and positioning of the auxiliary lenses relative to the primary lenses.

A process and materials are described in which highly refined cellulose fibers are broken down into microfibers and further processed into compositions, films, coatings and solid materials which are biodegradable and even edible. The process for the formation of hardenable compositions may comprise providing a composition comprising highly refined non-wood cellulose fiber, mechanically reducing the size of the non-wood cellulose fiber to less than 2 mm, reducing the amount of binding of microfibers by lignin within said non-wood cellulose fibers present in said composition comprising cellulose fiber to form a first fiber product, providing pressure of at least 300 psi to said first fiber product while it is in the presence of a liquid, and removing said pressure within a time interval which will cause said cellulose fiber to break down into a second fiber product comprising microfibers in said liquid.
