An electric circuit with speed control and diode separation for use with an electrically actuatable mechanism. An operator input provides a signal to a controller of the electric circuit. The controller causes a MOSFET relay to provide a voltage to the electrically actuatable mechanism. The relay is adapted to vary the voltage in response to pulse width modified signals from the controller.

An electro-hydraulic actuator includes a hydraulic pump, an electric motor operatively connected to the hydraulic pump and operable for driving the pump, an actuator moveable in response to fluid flow from the pump, and a housing for the pump, electric motor and actuator. The housing has a base member that is adapted to be modified into various configurations for forming an attachment interface for mounting of the electro-hydraulic actuator.

A mower deck lift mechanism for a lawn mower includes a mower deck, a linkage mechanism for movably mounting the mower deck to the frame for raising and lowering movement relative to the frame, and an electro-hydraulic actuator assembly connected to the linkage mechanism for raising and lowering the mower deck relative to the frame. The actuator assembly is an integrated unit including a hydraulic piston-cylinder assembly connected to the linkage mechanism, a pump for supplying pressurized fluid to the piston-cylinder assembly, and an electric motor for driving the pump.

A tilt actuator for an outboard motor wherein shocks acting on the actuator are initially dissipated at a first damping rate and then at a higher damping rate near the end-of-stroke of the actuator's piston. The tilt actuator comprises a cylinder, a piston, a piston rod and a damper member, the latter being cooperative with the piston in a first position to at least partially block at least one of plural damping passages in the piston thereby to restrict flow of fluid from the first chamber to the damping passages in the piston and in a second position that allows full damping flow of fluid to the inlet openings of the damping passages from the first chamber to the damping passages in the piston during movement of the piston in the second direction.

A hydraulic system for an actuator provides staged operation during extend and retract. A pair of reversible pumps are conjointly driven by a reversible motor. A relief valve in the retract circuit directs fluid to tank when fluid pressure increases above a predetermined value. An unloader valve in the extend circuit is responsive to pressure at a first stage pump to direct flow to tank when the pressure increases above a second predetermined value. A non-return check valve connected between the pumps in the extend circuit closes the flow circuit to the second stage pump during high loads, so that the flow from the second stage pump goes to tank, and the return flow from the actuator goes only to the first stage pump. The non-return check valve is responsive (via a signal line to the retract circuit portion) to the pressure in the extend and retract circuit portions.
