An assembly having: a container configured to contain a product, the container having an end having a dispensing end surface, a central axis which extends through the end, and a neck underneath the end, the neck having an outer surface which tapers outwardly away from the central axis as it extends in a direction towards the end; an accessory non-removably mounted on the end of the container, the accessory having a surface bearing against the dispensing end surface of the container, and a sleeve disposed about the neck so that an inner surface of the sleeve is in facing relation with the neck outer surface, and; an annular collar wedged between the sleeve inner surface and the neck outer surface and joined to the sleeve inner surface by a permanent joint.

One aspect of the invention provides a componentfor a fluid dispenserwhich defines a dosing chamberfor a piston memberto stroke in and has an endadapted for engaging a fluid outletof the fluid dispenser or a sealwhich overlies the fluid outletto selectively close and open the fluid outletor seal. Fluid dispenser

A dust cap for a pMDI having a cap part adapted for a push-fit on the dispensing nozzle of the pMDI and a strap part for connecting the dust cap to the pMDI, wherein the cap part is slidably mounted on the strap part for sliding movement between an extended position and a contracted position.

Dispensing device

There is provided a drug dispenser device comprising a housing defining a first chamber; extending from said housing and defining a second open chamber, an outlet for insertion into a body cavity of a patient; provided to said first chamber of the housing, a discharge block defining a discharge block orifice; receivable within the first chamber for movement therewithin, a drug discharge device, said drug discharge device having a longitudinal axis and comprising a container for storing a drug formulation to be dispensed, a discharge mechanism and a discharge channel from said container, wherein said discharge channel is receivable by said discharge block to enable discharge of said drug formulation via said discharge block orifice to said outlet; provided to the housing; and at least one finger operable member moveable to apply a force directly or indirectly to the drug discharge device for movement along the longitudinal axis towards the discharge block to actuate said discharge mechanism. The housing further defines an aperture through which said at least one finger operable member in part protrudes, and wherein the at least one finger operable member is moveable from a rest position in which the at least one finger operable member acts to block off said aperture to an actuating position in which the aperture is unblocked and through which air may be drawn into the housing in response to patient inhalation through the outlet.

Drug dispenser

A device for dispensing a substance having a dispensing outlet, a dispensing member mounted for movement in a dispensing direction U from a first position to a second position, such movement, in use, causing the substance to be dispensed from the dispensing outlet, and an actuator mechanism for moving the dispensing member from the first position to the second position. The actuator mechanism has a first member mounted for movement in a predetermined direction and a second member pivotally mounted on the first member for pivotal movement in a predetermined pivotal sense A. The actuator mechanism is adapted such that movement of the first member in the predetermined direction results in the second member moving therewith and pivoting in the predetermined pivotal sense and the pivotal movement of the second member in the predetermined pivotal sense results in the dispensing member moving from the first position to the second position.

One aspect of the invention provides a component for a fluid dispenser which defines a dosing chamber for a piston member to stroke in and has an end adapted for engaging a fluid outlet of the fluid dispenser or a seal which overlies the fluid outlet to selectively close and open the fluid outlet or seal. Other aspects are disclosed herein.

A capsule for a powder has a body which is provided with an internal chamber to hold the powder and first and second openings to an exterior environment. The body is adapted to be displaced from a filling state, in which the first and second openings are placed in fluid communication with one another through the internal chamber thereby enabling an airflow to be created through the body from the second opening to the first opening which is able to entrain powder in the exterior environment into the internal chamber for filling thereof, to a sealing state in which the internal chamber is sealed from the exterior environment so as to retain the powder held therein.

Capsule

An inhaler is provided with a restricting member to prevent unintentional actuation of the inhaler. Also provided is an inhaler with an extensible strap joining a dust cap to the housing of an inhaler, the strap being particularly suited for use with inhalers that comprise a restricting member. The inhaler is useful, for example, in the treatment of asthma.

An inhaler is provided with a closure which may be moved between a closed and open position in order to cover and uncover a mouthpiece. The closure is associated with a revolvable element including a restricting member. Movement of the closure from the open position to the closed position causes the revolvable element to revolve around an axis X thereby placing the restricting member in a restricting position which restricts relative movement between a container unit and the housing such that unintentional actuation of the inhaler is prevented. The inhaler is useful, for example, in the treatment of asthma.

Inhaler

There is provided a dispenser suitable for dispensing medicament, particularly medicament for use in the treatment of respiratory disorders. The dispenser comprises a housing having a support; a container, locatable within said housing, having an outlet, wherein said container dispenses through said outlet in response to movement of the container relative to the housing; and an actuation indicator having an indexing mechanism actuatable by movement of the container relative to the housing. A couple mechanism is provided which couples the indexing mechanism to the container to compensate for any variation in pre-actuation positionings of the indexing mechanism and container.

Dispenser with doses' counter

A dispensing device for dispensing a number of doses of medication to a patient, comprising a dispensing mechanism for dispensing the medication by actuation of the dispensing mechanism from a non-dispensing position to a dispensing position, a dose counter for counting the number of doses dispensed by said device, a first battery-less arrangement for providing power to said dose counter in response to the actuation of said dispensing mechanism, and an electronic display for displaying a dose indication, characterised in that the device includes a second battery-less arrangement for providing power to said electronic display when said dispensing mechanism is in said non-dispensing position.

There is provided a medicament dispenser for containing plural elongate form medicament carriers, each having multiple distinct medicament dose portions carried thereby, the dispenser having a housing of generally non-circular form, and within said housing a dispensing mechanism for dispensing the distinct medicament dose portions carried by each of said plural medicament carriers. The mechanism comprises at least one receiving station for receiving each of the plural medicament carriers; a release for releasing in combination a distinct medicament dose portion from each of the plural medicament carriers on receipt thereof by said receiving station; an outlet, positioned to be in communication with the distinct medicament dose portions releasable by said release; and at least one indexer for individually indexing the distinct medicament dose portions of each of the plural medicament carriers. The dispenser contains plural elongate form medicament carriers, each having multiple distinct dose portions carried thereby. At least one of said medicament carriers has the form of a continuous loop.
