Methods, devices, and media for sensing a touch on a display panel including an array of pixels. A method includes controlling first pixels to operate in an illumination state; controlling second pixels to repeatedly switch between operating in the illumination state and operating in a sensing state; generating sensing signals indicative of levels of light detected by the second pixels; detecting a touch input to the display panel based on the generated sensing signals; and in response to detecting the touch input to the display panel, changing at least one of (i) a frequency at which the second pixels switch between operating in the illumination state and in the sensing state, (ii) a duty cycle for operating the second pixels in the sensing state, or (iii) which of the pixels in the array of pixels are controlled to switch between operating in the illumination state and in the sensing state.

Touch-sensitive LED display

A computing device, such as a wearable device, may include a light source and a photodetector array. The photodetector array may be used to determine a touch event of a user that occurs during a time interval. A subset of the plurality of photodetectors associated with the touch event may provide detection signals at each of a plurality of times within the time interval, which may be aggregated to obtain a time series of aggregated detection signals. Biometric data of the user may be generated, based on the time series of aggregated detection signals.

Remote biometric monitoring systems may include a digital camera having a digital sensor, a processor, and a memory, all enclosed in a common housing. The processor of the camera may locally execute one or more algorithms to perform computer vision analysis of captured images of a sleeping subject, thereby determining an activity state of the subject. The activity state may include a sleep state. One or more environmental control devices may be adjusted automatically by the system based at least in part on the activity state.

Remote biometric monitoring system

An automatic injection apparatus including a delay mechanism for properly delivering medication prior to the needled syringe of the apparatus being retracted. In one form, the delay mechanism includes a shuttle for the syringe, a follower, a locking member, a damping compound between the follower and a supporting surface to dampen rotation of the follower relative to the shuttle, and a dual functioning biasing member acting between the shuttle and the follower. When the locking member moves to a release position during an injection, the dual functioning biasing member first provides a torsional force to force the follower to rotate relative to the shuttle from a latching position to an unlatching position, and then the dual functioning biasing member provides an axial force to force the shuttle axially relative to the follower to move the shuttle for retracting the syringe needle into the housing of the apparatus after injection.

A photovoltaic module may include a first frame portion defining a first plane, a second frame portion defining a second plane angled relative to the first plane, and a photovoltaic panel mounted to the second frame portion. The second frame portion may be supported only at opposing ends. The photovoltaic module may be stackable with similar modules.

Integrated solar modules are provided. In one example, a corner cap for coupling to a solar module is described. The solar module has a solar panel and a frame circumscribing the solar panel. The corner cap includes a first wall and a second wall. The first wall and the second wall define a corner angle substantially the same as an angle defined by a corner of the solar module. The corner cap includes a flange extending from the corner cap. The flange is configured for coupling the corner cap to a solar module.

A delay mechanism for staging the operation of an automatic injection apparatus () to ensure medication contents are properly delivered prior to the needled syringe () of the apparatus being retracted. In one form, the delay mechanism includes a shuttle (), a follower (), a locking member, a damping compound, and a driver and a driver biasing element (). The shuttle is for a needled syringe of the apparatus and includes a first latching element. The follower includes a second latching element and a cammable surface, which second latching element is for cooperating with the first latching element to limit motion of the shuttle relative to the follower in a second direction opposite the first direction. The locking member is movable from a locking position to a release position by engagement with the syringe plunger during an injection, the locking member, when in the locking position, preventing rotation of the follower relative to the shuttle, the locking member, when in the release position, allowing rotation of the follower relative to the shuttle. The damping compound is between the follower and a supporting surface to dampen rotation of the follower relative to the shuttle. The driver is rotatably fixed relative to the shuttle and includes a camming surface. The shuttle allowing retracting of the syringe needle into the housing of the automatic injection apparatus after injection.

The invention pertains to flexible devices used for zero-heat-flux, deep tissue temperature measurement, especially to disposable temperature measurement devices. Such a device is constituted of a flexible substrate with a plurality of contiguous sections. An electrical circuit is disposed on a side of the substrate. The electrical circuit includes first and second thermal sensors disposed, respectively, on first and second substrate sections. A heater trace is disposed on the first substrate section with the first thermal sensor. The first and second sections are folded together to position the first and second thermal sensors therebetween, and a flexible insulator disposed between the folded-together first and second sections maintains the first and second thermal sensors in a spaced-apart relationship.

Other aspects of the workstation comprise a four-bar linkage support arm that includes a cable management member extending therethrough for receiving and guiding wires within an interior passage of the support arm, a lockable pneumatic cylinder located within the support arm and adapted to lock the support arm at a given vertical position, a housing assembly that spans the distance between vertical studs within commercial wall structures, thereby eliminating the requirement for additional mounting structures, and a keyboard support assembly that includes a cam assembly for locking an adjustable keyboard in a storage position, and a storage compartment for slidably receiving a computer mouse therein when the keyboard support is in the storage position.
