A transport bag includes a closure device for detachably connecting the front wall to the rear wall in the closure state for receiving the conveying good and for releasing the connection from the closure state into the open state for releasing the conveying good. The locking of the closure device is performed with the aid of an electric drive. The reversible closing lock is achieved with the aid of the spring of the solenoid. For the opening of the closure device, the solenoid is switched for a short time and the reversible closing lock is released. The switching takes place in the unloading station by supplying electric current to the electric contacts with the aid of the electric switching contacts of the unloading station.

The invention relates to a transport bag () having a roll running gear () which comprises only one pair of rolls () on which it is oscillatingly mounted in the transport rail (). The upper coupling () of the transport bag () is located above the rolls () and enables driving and transport by means of a conveying element () which preferably has a commercially available roller chain having driver pins. The disengagement of the drivers and the upper coupling parts () is prevented by the design of the transport bag () in that the transport bag () generates a sufficient torque (M) around the roll axis (), and the permissible inclination of the upper coupling () relative to the vertical () during transport along conveyor paths is not exceeded, so that more reliable entrainment of the transport bag () is guaranteed. A transport bag is used for transporting goods, in other words products, in a hanging manner. The transport bag has a rigid carrying wall which, when in the transport position, has an upper portion that is connected to a carrying element for carrying the transport bag in a hanging manner. A flexible product retaining wall forms, together with the carrying wall, a carrying bag which is closed downwards and towards two opposite sides at least in the transport position of the transport bag. The carrying wall is connected to the retaining wall between a wall connecting portion which faces upwards in the transport position and a wall connecting portion which faces downwards in the transport position in such a way that a length of the web-shaped retaining wall is variably adjustable to the transport of different products, wherein the length of the web-shaped retaining wall is removable from a retaining wall reservoir and a non-required portion of the retaining wall remains in the retaining wall reservoir. The transport bag is provided such that this length adjustment of the retaining wall is performed by a relative displacement relative to the carrying wall at least in the region of one of the two connecting portions. As a result, a transport bag is obtained which prevents the goods from being damaged during transport.

A method and apparatus for conveying material hanging on hangers. The material is transported from a loading region to a conveyance region, and then to a delivery region. Grip units of various lengths are formed by combining individual materials into groups. A theoretical maximum length for a grip unit is established. Clock pulses are produced in the conveyance region and are counted. Grip units stowed in the loading region are individualized to form well-defined spaces between the materials. Individualized grip units fed to the conveyance region are switched into the conveyance region when a gap sufficiently large to accommodate the grip unit is present in the conveyance region, determined by the maximum length established and counting of the clock pulses. The distance to be moved by the grip unit in the conveyance region to reach its destination is established, and progress of the grip unit is tracked. The grip unit is switched out to the delivery region, the switch-out mechanism remaining in effect to accommodate the length of the grip unit.

An adapter for use with a hanging conveyor system in which articles hanging on hangers and particularly articles of clothing, are transported for sorting or ordering by means of a conveyor along a transport path. The adapter is codable with data concerning the articles. The adapter is insertable between each article hanger provided with a hanger hook and the conveyor means. The adapter has a hook-shaped head region and a receiving region located below the head region. The receiving region has at least one section having a U-shaped cross section formed by an upward-extending arm. The receiving region contacts the hanger hook over such a region that the hanger hook, once inserted, will not twist in the receiving region. In a preferred embodiment, the receiving region is made up of two sections that are adjacent to each other, forming between them an intermediate space. Methods and arrangements for automatically loading hangers into and unloading hangers from the adapters also are provided.

The pushers provided for moving the conveyor carriages out of the main track and onto a secondary track are provided with a claw which can be swung in a direction opposite to the direction of transport (T) into an upward-swung third position. In this position, a conveyor carriage which is blocked in the region of a switch and cannot be moved out of the track can be passed by the pusher without damage to the conveyor carriages or the overhead conveyor system. When the claw is swung upward, a flap is at the same time moved out laterally, which can serve as a signal for immediately stopping the conveyor system. The outwardly swung flap may assist maintenance personnel in finding the switch at which a conveyor carriage cannot be properly moved out of the line. The pusher includes a recess which is covered by a spring-loaded plate. The claw is fastened asymmetrically in the pusher so that it swings upward into the recess. The claw is urged into its lowest position by a spring above the plate. A force acting on the claw and swinging it into its third position causes the claw to move against the plate as the force becomes larger than the effective force of the spring.
