A footwear system includes a sensorized insole and a charger. The sensorized insole has an insole bulk having a foot-facing upper surface. A sensor is embedded in the insole bulk for measuring a parameter of a user's foot, a battery is embedded in the insole bulk for providing energy to the sensor, and a receiver pod is embedded in the insole bulk and is spaced from the foot-facing upper surface for wirelessly receiving energy and providing energy to the battery. The charger provides energy to the receiver pod, and includes a cable for connecting to an energy source, and a transmitter pod electrically connected to the cable for receiving energy from the cable and wirelessly transmitting energy to the receiver pod. The transmitter pod is positionable against the foot-facing upper surface to wirelessly provide energy to the receiver pod through the insole bulk.

Wireless charging assemblies for sensorized insoles, methods for charging sensorized insoles, and footwear systems including sensorized insoles

A transmitter comprising a planar antenna including a ground plane and first and second spiral radiating elements wrapping around the ground plane, and a driving circuit. Proximal ends of the spiral radiating elements terminate near points located along a perimeter of the ground plane. Exactly one of the first and second spiral radiating elements are electrically isolated from the ground plane. The first and second spiral radiating elements are wound in the same direction for approximately a single turn and increase in thickness for approximately three-fourths of the turn. The driving circuit drives one of the first and second spiral radiating elements.

Planar broad-band transmitter

Systems and methods are described for low power radio devices. A first radio-based computing devices emits wireless power signals which are received by a plurality of second radio-based devices. A sensor controller of the one or more second radio-based devices determines if an interrupt signal is to be transmitted to an associated at rest microcontroller, to cause the microcontroller to prepare to receive or emit a radio information signal.

An animal tracking system comprising a first LoRa receiver configured as a gateway to receive transmissions on a first set of channels or a second set of channels and forward said transmissions to a first remote server, and a transmitting tag configured to be affixed to an animal. The transmitting tag includes a memory configured to store digital information, a passive RFID receiver configured to detect a close proximity to an RFID transmitter and store detection of the close proximity in comprising in the memory, a processor configured to determine an alarm status according to a frequency of detection of the close proximity, an internal energy source, and a LoRa transmitter configured to transmit signals for a distance greater than 100 meters via energy from the internal energy source.

Cattle tracking system

A tag is provided that includes a battery having a printed anode and cathode. A printed circuit connection layer is formed in one of the anode or the cathode. A printed antenna is formed in one of the anode or the cathode. A low-power transmitter coupled to the circuit connection layer.

Transmitting tag

An antenna is disclosed that includes a ground plane extending in a first direction on a substrate and a radiating element occupying a same plane as the ground plane on the substrate, and coupled to the ground plane, the radiating element comprising a first portion with a first end and a second end extending in a substantially parallel direction to the ground plane, a feed line coupled to the first end of the first portion of the radiating element and extending in a substantially perpendicular direction from the first portion of the radiating element and a second portion having a third end and a fourth end, wherein the third end is coupled to the ground plane and the fourth end is coupled to the radiating element at a point between the first end and the second end.

Single layer antenna

An apparatus comprising a long-range transmitter having a unique identifier, a button, a card reader, a means for securing an identification card having a unique identifier and configured to be read by the card reader, and a controller coupled to the long-range transmitter, the button, and the card reader. The controller is configured to use the card reader to read the unique identifier of the identification card and to send a signal through the long-range transmitter when the button is pressed.

Thin film photovoltaic wireless interface

A power inverter configured to convert electrical power from an energy source to electrical power that can be pushed into a utility grid. The power inverter comprises a power train and a controller having an address. The controller is configured to provide gate drive signals to the power inverter for the power inverter to operate. The controller comprises a sensor for measuring electrical power that is pushed into the utility grid, non-volatile memory for storing an accumulated value of the electrical power, and a communication device configured to communicate information from the controller to a device remote from the power inverter. The controller is further configured to execute a smart contract corresponding to the address.

Smart inverter

A hand carryable apparatus comprising a first power system, a second power system, a mechanical coupling, and an electrical coupling. The first power system comprises a first enclosure, a photovoltaic panel, a first power inverter, and a first alternating current interface coupled to the first output of the first power inverter. The second power system comprises a second enclosure, a battery, a second power inverter, and a second alternating current interface coupled to the second output of the second power inverter. The mechanical coupling and the electrical coupling removably couple the first power system to the second power system. The electrical coupling is capable of passing power between the first power system and the second power system. The second power system is capable of operating independently of the first power system.

Portable power system

A wireless headset comprising a sound transducer, said sound transducer and a wireless power receiver. The sound transducer comprises a sound transducer coil configured to at least one of convert a first electrical signal to a first sound signal and convert a first sound signal to a first electrical signal comprising first audio information. The wireless power receiver is configured to receive wireless power through an antenna comprising said sound transducer coil.

Wireless headset

Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for balancing the power output to each phase of a set of micro-inverters. The method of some embodiments is performed by a gateway, which receives output messages from a plurality of micro-inverters. The gateway identifies the phase of each micro-inverter and calculates the output of the plurality of micro-inverters to each power line of a multi-phase system. The gateway then sends control signals to the micro-inverters to control the output of each micro-inverter to maintain a balanced aggregate power output to each phase of the power grid.

A power conditioning unit for delivering power from a dc power source to an ac mains power supply output includes a dc power input to receive dc power from a dc power source, an ac power output for delivering ac power to the ac mains power supply, a dc link coupled between the dc power input and the ac power output, first and second dc-to-dc converters coupled between the dc power input and the dc link, wherein one or both of the first and second dc-to-dc converters comprises a pair of resonant capacitors, a sensing element connected in parallel to one of the pair of the resonant capacitors for sensing a ripple voltage, and a controller operative to control the first and second dc-to-dc converters in response to the sensed ripple voltage.
