A device may receive input to perform a renaming operation in a graphical modeling environment. The device may identify a selected element, included in the graphical modeling environment, based on the input. The device may determine an element indicator associated with the selected element. The element indicator may be used to identify a relationship between the selected element and a related element included in the graphical modeling environment. The device may identify, based on the element indicator, the related element associated with the selected element. The device may modify the element indicator based on receiving the input to perform the renaming operation, and may modify a corresponding element indicator corresponding to the related element.

Automatic renaming of elements of a graphical modeling environment

A method of defining data objects for use with an executable block diagram modeling and code generation system including providing pre-defined data object classes, each of the pre-defined data classes having default attributes, extending the pre-defined data object classes with subclasses, each of the subclasses having user-defined attributes and generating data objects, which are instances of the pre-defined classes and the subclasses.

Data objects for model-based design

In an embodiment, a technique for acquiring a class definition of a class, the class associated with an enumeration, the enumeration enumerating a partial list of instances of the class; generating a data structure based on the class definition, the data structure associating one or more identifiers with an instance enumerated in the enumeration; and storing the data structure in a computer storage.

Enumeration classes

A model workspace that has a close relationship with a model is disclosed. The model workspace may contain data associated with the model, such as data defining data types and values of variables in the model. The data in the model workspace are visible in the scope of the model. The model workspace may be initialized from a data repository including a plurality of data sources. The data sources may include persistent data sources, such as a model file, an external data file and a computer program, and interfaces, such as command line interfaces and graphical user interfaces. The model workspace can be reinitialized from different data sources and can be stored into different data sources.

Model workspaces in modeling environments

Software for building a block diagram representation of a system includes instructions for defining a propagation block having an input port for receiving information indicative of an attribute set of an input signal and an output port for providing information indicative of an attribute set of an output signal on the basis of the attributes of the input signal. The software includes instructions for associating, with the propagation block, a rule-set for determining the output attribute set on the basis of the input attribute-set.

Programmable control of data attributes

A dental implement is disclosed that uses a conventional tank of pressurized medical grade nitrogen, a flow control box downstream from it that receives input from a standard dentist's handpiece airflow control, a mixing chamber that holds the abrasive and includes a secondary nitrogen flow line that will 'fluff up' the abrasive when sufficient gas flow is allowed to pass through it, thus entraining the abrasive within the nitrogen flow, and a handpiece that has a directing nozzle for application of the flow on a specific worksite with a fiber optic bundle having a replaceable, resilient light transmissive tip to direct light on the worksite.

Dental implement

An amusement device of two moveably jointed, cojoined, articulated figures. The head of the first figure is caused to twist irregularly about its vertical axis and simultaneously impart a spasmodic momentum to the second figure. The figures are animated by the cooperation of the irregular twisting action operating through the first body and into the second through their joining. Motivation is suggested, as well as disclosed herein, for imparting an irregular torquing moment to the first of the figures.
