One cable shielding has a first metal shielding braided along a length of a cable, a CNT paper shielding surrounding the first metal shielding along the length of the cable, and a second metal shielding braided about the CNT paper shielding along the length of the cable.

Carbon nanotube based cabling

Systems and methods presented herein provide for elastomeric and flexible cables. One cable includes a first insulator extruded as a tube. The cable also includes an elastomeric conductor comprising conductive particles embedded in a polymer. The elastomeric conductor is extruded with the elastomeric insulator through a conduit of the tube. Other cables include flexible wires extruded with elastomeric tubes. In some embodiments, the cables are configured with stay cords that limit a length of stretching in the cable.

Elastomeric and flexible cables

In one embodiment, a cable includes a conductive core and a dielectric material surrounding the conductive core along a length of the cable. The cable also includes a first shielding comprising braided tinned copper and a second shielding comprising aramid fibers having nickel physical vapor deposited thereon. The aramid fibers are braided about the first shielding to surround a majority of the first shielding along the length of the cable.
