A system for modeling networks of electricity supply and demand includes a first user interface, a second user interface, a database, a controller, and a memory including instructions. The database includes a data set defining nodes and domains, each node being a geographic area with defined electricity supply and demand, each plan including instructions related to a node for managing energy infrastructure and supply and demand changes. The controller is configured to: receive a first request to create a first plan for a first node of a collection; receive plan instructions for the first plan; receive a second user request to create a second plan for a second node of the collection; receive a plan instruction to interconnect the first node with the second node in the first plan; generate a forecast including a projected value for an energy infrastructure variable; and display the forecast.

Modeling system for energy systems

A downhole well system can use a fiber optic cable that can be positioned downhole along a length of a wellbore. The well system may include a top plug, a bottom plug, or both that are used to contain a cement slurry during a cementing operation. The movement of the top plug and bottom plug may cause acoustic noise along the downhole portion of the casing. A reflectometer may detect the acoustic noise from strain in the fiber optic cable and determine a location of the top plug or bottom plug downhole.

A device, a system and a method for dispensing adhesive elements are provided. The device comprising a first holder, a second holder, and an alignment element. The first holder is configured to rotatably hold a film having adhesive elements and a protective layer attached on adhesive areas of the adhesive elements. The second holder is configured to receive the protective layer as the protective layer is peeled off the adhesive areas of the adhesive elements while the adhesive elements are moved towards an alignment element. The alignment element is arranged in a direction of movement of the adhesive elements and configured to receive and align the adhesive elements at a predetermined position on the alignment element.

Devices and methods for dispensing adhesive elements

A compact step tuned filter (30, FIG. 6), is provided for passing two or more widely separated microwave frequencies and providing high rejection to signals below the passband, and is particularly useful in miniaturized light weight airborne step tuned mixers and the like. The filter includes input and output sets (39-40, 41-42) of parallel coupled transmission lines providing lumped element capacitors at the lower frequency and matched transmission lines at the higher frequency, and a central transmission line connected between the input and output sets of coupled lines and providing a resonator between the lumped element capacitors at the lower frequency and a matched transmission line at the higher frequency.
