A method for enhanced recovery of hydrocarbonaceous fluids, the method including the steps of creating a plurality of wellbores in a subterranean formation, whereby one or more of the plurality of wellbores may include a directionally drilled portion with solution disposed therein, and an electrode operatively connected with a power source. Other steps include generating an electrical field within the subterranean formation, thereby causing an electrochemical reaction to produce a gas from the solution, such that the gas mixes with hydrocarbonaceous fluids present in the formation and increases pressure within at least one of the plurality of wellbores, the subterranean formation, and combinations thereof, thereby enhancing recovery of the hydrocarbonaceous fluid.

Systems and methods for enhanced recovery of hydrocarbonaceous fluids

A system and method are provided for short term trading in gas and/or gas derivatives. In a preferred embodiment, the system provides a plurality of shallow depth salt gas storage facilities. Each of the facilities is typically operated at pressures in a range close to the pipeline pressure, typically within a range of 20 to 80 bars. If trading results in a difference to be made up, then computers operating the facilities respond quickly to add or remove gas from the pipelines, as required, with a response time as low as two minutes to change the net direction of flow of gas into or out of the storage facilities.

The cartridge includes a head containing a pressurized fire extinguishant and a casing containing a propellent. The casing is removably attached to the head by mating portions of hook and loop fasteners so as to allow the casing and the head to be independent of each other prior to use. The bead has a lip containing a chamber communicating with the pressurized fire extinguishant therein and which exits through through bores in both sides of the lip, respectively. A release pin is removed from the through bores and the firing apparatus is activated causing the cartridge to exit the barrel and expel the pressurized fire extinguishant through the through bores on its way to the fire during use.

The present invention provides a power generation facility that is adapted to clean large air masses. Air from the environment, which normally contains the most pollutants, is directed into an air flow path through which large quantities of air are directed by a plurality of large diameter fans. The large air flow is directed through electrically insulated cooling fins which cool heated gas from power generators. The electrically insulated cooling fans have a voltage applied thereto and act as electrodes used to produce an electric field that attracts particles such as pollutants. In a preferred embodiment, a charging section is utilized within the air flow prior to the electrically insulated cooling fins to charge the particles with a charge opposite to the voltage applied to the cooling fins to thereby attract the particles to the cooling fins. A cooling fin washing system with pressurized jets is provided in one embodiment to wash the pollutants from the surface of the cooling fins.

The present invention is an improved power generation facility and method of construction. The improved power generation facility of the present invention provides a low impact implementation suitable for placement in or near a developed, populated area comprising ultimate consumers. The improved power generation facility comprises a foundation; a plurality of legs which form a support structure capable of supporting a plurality of condenser modules with cooling fans of predetermined size; and a housing for containing predetermined power generation equipment, the housing fitting inside the support structure and having a facade which can be made to blend into a surrounding environment's architecture. In a preferred mode, the legs are tricolumn legs that may be removably fastened to each other and to the foundation. Further, the housing may be suspended from the support structure and the plurality of cooling fans situated to minimize noise from the cooling fans. An improved method of constructing the improved power generation facility is also described.

The shallows depth, low pressure gas storage facility(s) of the present invention have characteristics of high deliverability of injection and withdrawal over a wide pressure range.

A method of operating a combined cycle electric power plant at a measuring and regulating station of a gas transmission line is disclosed where gas at high pressure is being delivered from the transmission line to a lower pressure line, such as a gas distribution system, comprising the steps of supplying a portion of the gas to the combustion chamber of a gas turbine to drive a first electrical generator and produce electricity, using the hot gases in the exhaust of the gas turbine to heat water in a boiler and produce steam, supplying the steam to a steam turbine to drive a second electrical generator and produce electricity, reducing the pressure of the gas being delivered to the pressure of the lower pressure line, and using the heat of condensation of the exhaust steam from the steam turbine to keep the temperature of the gas at or above a selected minimum as the pressure of the gas is reduced from that of the high pressure line to the pressure of the lower pressure line. In one embodiment of the method, the pressure of the delivered gas is reduced by passing the gas through a turboexpander and using the output energy of the turboexpander to drive a third electrical generator and produce electricity.
