A thermoplastic molding composition having a light transmission value of at least 40% is disclosed. The composition contains a thermoplastic polyurethane component, a styrene copolymer, and an alkyl(meth)acrylate component and is characterized by the compatibility of its components. The weight ratio between the styrene copolymer to the sum of the styrene copolymer and alkyl(meth)acrylate components was found to be critical to the light transmission of the inventive composition.

Transparent thermoplastic composition

Disclosed herein is a composite structure comprising a layer of a gas filled cellular insulation material combined with a layer of impact resistant thermoplastic sheet material wherein an ABS sheet having a substantial number of rubber particles in range of from about 4 to about 10 microns (LR ABS) is interposed between the gas filled cellular material and the thermoplastic sheet.

The polyblend comprises: (A) a graft copolymer having superstrate copolymers of monovinylidene aromatic and ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomers and a substrate of a diene rubber dispersed in a matrix phase (B) comprising a blend of about 45 to 75 percent by weight of a (I) copolymer of monovinylidene aromatic and ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomers and about 25 to 55 percent by weight (II) a methylmethacrylate polymer.
