A crimping tool, configured to crimp an electrical connector onto a conductor, includes a crimping body having an interior volume, a crimping head connected to the crimping body, a user interface installed on the crimping body, an identification tag reader provided in the crimping tool, a wireless module installed within the interior volume of the crimping body, and a microcontroller installed within the interior volume of the crimping body. The wireless module transmits/receives crimp connection data to/from a remote computing device, which is capable of communicating with one or more databases in a server. The microcontroller is configured to communicate with the identification tag reader and the wireless module.

A cable compression die assembly is used in connection with a compression tool for compressing a stranded cable prior to crimping. The cable compression die assembly includes a pair of cable compression die heads for receiving a stranded cable and a cable connector therebetween. The pair of cable compression die heads defines a hexagonal shaped opening therebetween and is adapted to substantially close the hexagonal shaped opening as the die heads move towards one another.

A while-in-use electrical box, such as a deck box, for providing power to an electrical device includes a frame having a door pivotally mounted therein. The frame is adapted to be mounted in a hole formed in a floor or deck. The door includes a bottom surface on which a receptacle housing is coupled. The receptacle housing includes walls which define an opening to receive an electrical socket device, such as an outlet. When in the closed position, the walls of the receptacle housing enclose the electrical socket device and extend beyond a front face of the electrical socket device to protect the socket from the weather.

A fitting for terminating a conduit includes a substantially tubular fitting body having a central bore extending therethrough, a forward end, and a rearward end opposing the forward end. The fitting body includes a first liquid-proof coating that includes a rearward sealing rim. A gland nut is rotatably coupled to the rearward end of the fitting body. The gland nut includes a second liquid-proof coating that includes a forward sealing rim. A grounding ring is positioned between the gland nut and the fitting body and contacts the fitting body. Upon axial movement of the gland nut, the grounding ring engages the rearward sealing rim of the first liquid-proof coating on the fitting body and the forward sealing rim of the second liquid-proof coating on the gland nut to form a sealed relationship therewith.

A cable tie includes a band of one material and a pawl of a different material. The pawl has a stem region and a securing region, wherein the securing region includes at least one barb and a stabilizing surface opposite the at least one barb. The band includes a head section and a tail section that may be inserted through the head section to secure a load. The head section includes a base section into which at least a portion of the stem region of the pawl is inserted, and an insertion channel to receive the tail section, wherein at least a portion of the pawl extends into the insertion channel. When a load is exerted to remove the tail section from the insertion channel, the barb engages the tail section and the stabilizing surface contacts a wall of the insertion channel to prevent bending of the pawl.

A tool head for use with an automatic cable tie installation system. The tool head incorporates a pawl gear mechanism which eliminates the potential for the severed excess tail portion of the tie from becoming jammed within the tensioning assembly of the tool head. Particularly, the pawl gear mechanism of the present invention includes at least one auxiliary guide ramp for contacting and positively guiding the severed tail portion into the exit chute of the tool head.

An ultrasonic tying tool for installation of a tape about a bundle of elongate articles. The tool includes an ultrasonic horn wherein the welding tip is moveable between a first position for welding of a tape to secure the tensioned loop about the plurality of articles and a second position wherein the welding tip is translated a distance from the first position to effect cutting of the tensioned loop from the stock of tape and to tack weld the loose cut end to the underlying tape of the loop to eliminate any protruding sharp edges. The tool additionally includes a belt drive mechanism for advancing the tape to the jaw assembly and for tensioning the tape following looping of the tape about the outside.

An improved cable tie dispensing apparatus includes a cutting and feeding apparatus which advances and severs a cable tie from an elongate strip of cables ties for delivery to an automatic cable tie installation tool. The cutting and feeding apparatus provides an elongate platform for supporting a cable tie strip therealong and a severing location adjacent one end of the platform which is defined to support one cable tie. An alignment pilot is supported adjacent the severing location and is movable towards the severing location so as to separate the supported cable tie from the strip to which it is connected. The alignment pilot includes a punch for severing the web between adjacent cable ties upon movement of the pilot toward the severing location. A firing chamber is included which has an open face for insertion of a single cable tie therein. The open face is sealably closed by movement of the pilot toward the severing location. In this manner, a single cable tie is separated from the web and almost instantaneously positioned for delivery to an installation tool.

An air pressurized liquid decanter is disclosed, which is generally comprised of a pump unit, an external handle, an insulated container body which includes an interior vessel and a base unit. The pump unit is contained within a pump housing which has radially disposed apertures. A cam shaft residing within the pump housing extends through the horizontally disposed apertures and is affixed in rotatable engagement to the external handle. The cam shaft is maintained in mechanical communication with a vertically-movable check valve residing within the pump housing. The vertically-movable check valve is, in turn, placed in mechanical communication with a support disk residing within the pump housing. The support disk overlays a flexible bellows unit, which has an open upper end in atmospheric communication with the vertically-movable check valve and pump housing. The flexible bellows unit also has an open lower end in atmospheric communication with a bulkhead, and with the insulated container body. The bulkhead is maintained in sealing engagement with the interior vessel of the insulated container body and has a plurality of valves permitting selective atmospheric communication between said bellows unit and the interior vessel. A spout and hollow tube are maintained in sealing engagement with the bulkhead. The free end of the hollow tube extends into the insulated container body, thus establishing fluid communication between the insulated container body, the bulkhead and the hollow spout.

A cable tray support system supports a plurality of cables and conduits therein. Cable tray support system includes a pair of longitudinally extending transversely spaced rails and a plurality of longitudinally spaced transversely extending cable support members extending between the rails. Cable support members include provisions for the secure support of cables within the tray by use of both a cable tie and a pipe strap. Such combination provides greater flexibility to the cable tray of the present invention by allowing several securement techniques within a given cable tray system.

An electrical connector provides for the termination of discrete insulated conductors of a multi-conductor cable. The connector includes an insulative connector housing supporting plural electrical contacts having insulation displacing contact portions. A conductor holding block is movably supported by the housing with respect to the insulation displacing contact portions. The conductor holding block includes contact slots for receipt of the insulation displacing contact portions. The conductor holding block further includes passages in communication with the contact slots for receipt of the conductors. Deflectable fingers extend into the passages to provide for support of the conductors and for the accurate alignment of the conductors over the insulation displacing contact portions upon movement of the conductor holding block with respect to the electrical housing.

An electrical connector component assembly terminates discrete conductors of a multiconductor data cable. The component assembly includes an insulative component housing (122, 124) having a mating end for engagement with a mating electrical connection device and a cable receiving end for terminating the multiconductor cable. A plurality of electrical contacts (126, 128) are supported by the component housing. Each of the contacts has a conductor terminating end and a mating connection end. The contacts are supported in the component housing in a pair of horizontally extending, vertically spaced rows with each contact of one row being aligned with a respective contact of the other row. The contacts of one row are directly electrically shunted (126g) to the aligned contacts of the other row. Electrical shielding (138, 139) is disposed around the contacts and includes a shield extension (168) extending between at least two of the contacts.

An electrical connector is provided for the termination of jacketed multi-conductor electrical cable. The connector includes a connector housing defining a first bounded opening which permits passage of the cable therethrough. The cable strain relief device is positioned adjacent the first bounded opening of the housing. The cable strain relief device includes first and second hermaphroditic strain relief members for securing the cable therebetween. The first strain relief member is fixedly positioned within the housing and the second strain relief member is movably supported with respect to the first strain relief member. The first and second strain relief members define a fully bounded opening surrounding the cable. The first and second strain relief members are movable so as to reduce the size of the seconded bounded opening for frictionally securing the cable thereat.
