A connector to connect a center wing box to a bulkhead of an aircraft. The connector includes a panel with a first edge positioned at the center wing box, an opposing second edge positioned at the bulkhead, and a central section. A first flexible seal extends across the panel and provides for relative movement between the first edge and the central section. A second flexible seal extends across the panel and provides for relative movement between the second edge and the central section.

An apparatus for monitoring at least one performance characteristic of a component of a vehicle may include a tripod connected to an exterior surface of the vehicle, the tripod includes a plurality of airfoils defining an aerodynamic surface of the tripod, a camera positioned on the tripod at a predetermined viewing angle directed toward the component of the vehicle and a camera fairing connected to the tripod and surrounding the camera, the camera fairing includes a sidewall defining an aerodynamic surface of the camera fairing, an aperture disposed through the sidewall and aligned with the camera and a plurality of protrusions positioned proximate the aperture.

Apparatus and method for monitoring performance characteristics of a component of a vehicle

A wing leading edge architecture designed to enable laminar flow on passenger jets or other aircraft. The embodiments disclosed herein comprise a metallic fixed leading edge skin panel that is bonded to internal support structure without fasteners except for limited fastening along side edge portions adjacent to side edge portions of adjacent leading edge skin panels and along an aft edge portion overlapping a wing skin. In addition, the embodiments disclosed herein integrate a low-drag bleed-air anti-icing (i.e., vent) system and a Krueger flap assembly (e.g., a two-position, high-height, variable-camber Krueger flap assembly).
