An example electronic device includes an active digital pen sensor surface to generate analog position information, wherein the active digital pen sensor surface includes a projective capacitive sensor layer with a variance of sheet resistance of less than plus or minus 20 percent. The electronic device also includes a controller, including a sigma-delta analog-to-digital (A-to-D) converter, to generate digital pen position information based on the analog position information, and perform a triangulation based on the digital pen position information to determine a pen position.

An example system includes an x-ray absorber. The x-ray absorber is to convert received x-rays into electrical energy. The system also includes a memory. The memory is to receive the electrical energy. The memory also is to output a stored value using the electrical energy. The system includes a transmitter. The transmitter is to produce x-rays representative of the stored value.

In example implementations, a display is provided. The display includes a cover lens, a phosphorescent component, a display module and a processor. The phosphorescent component is located adjacent to the cover lens. The display module is located adjacent to the phosphorescent component opposite the cover lens. The processor is communicatively coupled to the display module to cause the display module to generate a desired image that activates corresponding portions of the phosphorescent component before the display is powered down.

In some examples, a fluidic conductive trace based radio-frequency identification device may include a flexible substrate layer including a channel, and a trace formed of a conductive fluid that is disposed substantially within the channel. The fluidic conductive trace based radio-frequency identification device may further include a sealing layer disposed on the flexible substrate layer and the trace to seal the conductive fluid in a liquid state within the channel.

In an example, an air filter system includes an air filter and a thermally conductive particulate sensor (TCPS). The TCPS includes a temperature sensor to measure a first temperature of the TCPS at a first time, measure a second temperature of the TCPS at a second time, and provide the measured first temperature and the measured second temperature to a controller. The controller to determine an actual rate of temperature change based on the measured first temperature and the measured second temperature, compare the actual rate of temperature change to a target rate of temperature change, and provide a notification when a difference between the actual rate of temperature change and the target rate of temperature change is greater than an accumulation threshold indicative of a threshold amount of particulate accumulation on the TCPS.

A device for detecting isotopes includes an isotope portion including a material including an isotope of an element, a reaction control portion to cause a chemical reaction of the material, and an electrical parameter portion to measure a change in an electrical parameter of the material, where the change in the electrical parameter is caused by the chemical reaction, and where the change in the electrical parameter is dependent on the isotope in the material, to detect the isotope by comparing the change in the electrical parameter of the material with a known electrical parameter associated with a known isotope.

In example implementations, a computing system is provided. The computing system includes at least one electronic component, a fan and a filter. The electronic component generates heat that is cooled by an air flow within the computing system that is generated by the fan. The filter is located in a path of the air flow. The filter includes a filter mesh with a strain gauge that is encapsulated and incorporated into the filter mesh to measure an amount that the filter mesh is clogged.

A method of extracting information encoded in a product includes: determining a concentration of a non-functional amount of a chemical in a product, where the concentration corresponds to one of a plurality of possible concentration ranges, where each of the plurality of possible concentration ranges indicates different non-composition manufacturing information about the product.

An electronic device includes a marker with a pattern of marks encoding product information of the electronic device. The pattern includes first marks having a first material with a first isotopic ratio of an element, and second marks having a second material with a second isotopic ratio of the element different than the first isotopic ratio.

In some examples, a computing device is to detect a fiducial mark on a portable device that comprises a display screen, generate supplemental information that corresponds to information presented in the display screen of the portable device, and cause display of the supplemental information by a display device of the computing device, according to an orientation that is based on the detected fiducial mark, the displayed supplemental information supplementing the information presented in the display screen of the portable device.

In some examples, a wearable system includes an outer case defining an inner chamber and comprising a portion including a liquid resistant and breathable layer. The wearable system further includes a computing device in the inner chamber, and an airflow generator to produce an airflow to cool the computing device and to direct a resulting heated airflow to flow through pores of the liquid resistant and breathable layer to an environment outside the outer case.

In some examples, a controllable read blocking based radio-frequency identification (RFID) device may include a substrate layer, and a trace formed of a conductive material and disposed on, partially within, or fully within the substrate layer. The controllable read blocking based RFID device may further include a controllable read blocking layer disposed on the substrate layer and the trace and including a fluid disposed in the controllable read blocking layer to selectively block or allow passage of electromagnetic waves to the trace to respectively inhibit or allow communication of a RFID reading device with the controllable read blocking based RFID device.

Examples associated with three-dimensional model generation are disclosed. One example includes analyzing a structure of a first component of an object. The composition of the first component of the object is also analyzed. A three-dimensional model of the object is then generated. The three-dimensional model includes data based on the structure of the first component of the object and data based on the composition of the first component of the object.

A method of determining the geographic origin of a metal can comprise measuring a first isotope and a second isotope of the metal by high-resolution mass spectrometry; calculating a ratio of the first isotope and the second isotope; comparing the ratio to native ratios of isotopes of the metal of native samples from a plurality of geographic locations using a database; and matching the ratio to a geographic location.

An electrically continuous, grounded conformal EMI protective shield and methods for applying same directly to the surfaces of a printed circuit board. The EMI shield adheres and conforms to the surface of the components and printed wiring board. The shield takes the shape of the covered surfaces while adding little to the dimensions of the surfaces. The EMI shield includes low viscosity, high adherence conductive and dielectric coatings each of which can be applied in one or more layers. The dielectric coating is initially applied to selected locations of the printed circuit board so as to be interposed between the conductive coating and the printed circuit board, preventing the conductive coating from electrically contacting selected components and printed wiring board regions. A high viscosity, non-electrically-conductive filler material is applied to printed circuit board regions that have surfaces that are cavitatious and/or which have a highly variable slope.
