A fastener for attaching a circuit board to a chassis has a head section for engaging the circuit board, a tail section for engaging the chassis, and a spring section to urge the head into engagement with the circuit board.

Screwless circuit board attachment

A card retention assembly for retaining one or more expansion cards within the chassis of an electronic device such as a computer system, server, photocopier, facsimile machine, printer, or the like includes a card retention assembly that engages the mounting bracket securing tab of an expansion card received in the chassis. In this manner, the card retention assembly at least partially restrains the tab for securing the expansion card in the chassis.

Card retention assembly

The present invention is directed to a device retention apparatus. A device retention apparatus includes a housing suitable for mounting an information handling system device and a retaining portion disposed on the housing, the retaining portion suitable for engaging an information handling system device when disposed in the housing. A selection mechanism suitable for securing the information handling system device to the housing is slideably connected to the housing so as to be capable of moving between a first position and a second position. Therefore, as the selection mechanism is moved from the first position to the second position, the selection mechanism contacts the retaining portion thereby securing an information handling system device to the housing.

Device retention apparatus

A screwless computer drive assembly is provided wherein a drive mounting bracket or computer chassis is equipped with lock sliders which, when engaged, compress flexible, flanged tabs into corresponding holes located on the computer drive. The lock sliders slide along the outside of the drive mounting bracket causing the flexible tabs to flex inward resulting in the ends of the tabs engaging the holes. Once the tabs have engaged the holes in the drive, the drive is securely held in place.
