The present invention relates to a downhole plug and abandonment system comprising a well tubular structure having an inside and a wall and being arranged in a borehole, a first plug arranged in the well tubular structure for sealing off a lower part of the well tubular structure, a second plug arranged in the well tubular structure at a distance and above the first plug isolating a confined space having a space pressure between the first plug and the second plug, wherein an abandonment device is arranged in the confined space, the abandonment device comprising: a unit configured to increase the space pressure, a sensor configured to measure a temperature and/or a pressure in the confined space, and a device communication module configured to receive an input from the sensor and to communicate signals from the abandonment device. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a downhole plug and abandonment method.

Downhole plug and abandonment system

The present invention relates to a downhole straddle assembly for straddling over a zone downhole in a well, the straddle assembly comprising a plurality of tubular sections mounted end to end in succession to form one tubular pipe having a first end tubular section forming a first open end of the tubular pipe, and a second end tubular section forming a second open end of the tubular pipe, said tubular pipe having an outer diameter, wherein the tubular section mounted to the first end tubular section is a first expandable metal sleeve being more pliant than the first end tubular section, and the tubular section mounted with the second end tubular section is a second expandable metal sleeve being more pliant than the second end tubular section. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a downhole straddle system for straddling over a zone downhole in a well and to a downhole straddle method.

Downhole straddle assembly

The present invention relates to a downhole well tubular structure configured to be arranged in a borehole in a formation, comprising a well tubular part having an opening and an inner face, the well tubular part having an axial extension, a first sleeve configured to slide within the well tubular part along at least part of the inner face, the first sleeve having a first end face and a second end face, the first sleeve having a first sleeve groove facing away from the well tubular part, the first sleeve groove of the first sleeve having a first groove face extending radially and facing away from the first end face, and the first sleeve groove of the first sleeve having a second groove face inclining away from the first groove face, wherein the well tubular part has a first inclined face facing the first end face of the first sleeve, the first inclined face inclining from the inner face away from the first sleeve, wherein the well tubular part comprises a second inclined face facing the first inclined face, the second inclined face inclining from the inner face away from the first sleeve, and the first sleeve is configured to slide towards the first inclined face while uncovering or covering the opening. The present invention also relates to a downhole system comprising a downhole well tubular structure according to the present invention and to a sleeve operating method for uncovering or covering an opening in the downhole well tubular structure according to the present invention.

A downhole tubular assembly configured to be mounted as part of a well tubular structure in a borehole of a well having a top, has a well metal tubing configured to be mounted as part of the well tubular structure. A tubular metal receptacle has an inner receptacle diameter larger than the outer diameter of the well metal tubing, and a second part extending from the first part towards the well metal tubing. The tubing length is larger than the receptacle length, and the a wall of the well metal tubing extends inside the tubular metal receptacle along the entire length of the tubular metal receptacle, and the second part of the tubular metal receptacle is fastened to the outer face of the well metal tubing, thereby closing the tubular metal receptacle in one end and defining an annular space between the tubular metal receptacle and the well metal tubing.

The present invention relates to an annular barrier for isolating a production zone, the annular barrier having a first end and a second end, comprising: a tubular metal part for mounting as part of a well tubular metal structure, the tubular metal part having an outer face, an expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part and having an outer face facing a wall of a borehole, each end of the expandable metal sleeve being connected with the tubular metal part, an annular space arranged between the expandable metal sleeve and the tubular metal part, the expandable metal sleeve being configured to expand by pressurised fluid entering the annular space, a first tubular metal connection assembly surrounding the tubular metal part connecting one end of the expandable metal sleeve with the tubular metal part and a second tubular metal connection assembly surrounding the tubular metal part connecting the other end of the expandable metal sleeve with the tubular metal part, each tubular metal connection assembly having a wall, and a shunt tube, wherein the tubular metal connection assemblies have at least one opening in the wall through which the shunt tube extends, the shunt tube extending along and outside the tubular metal part from the first end via the annular space to the second end. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a downhole completion system for completing a well and to an expansion method for expanding an annular barrier.

Downhole completion system () arranged in a borehole, comprising a production casing () having an axial extension with an opening () for providing fluid communication between the borehole and the inside of the casing, a sleeve () arranged at least partly movably along or rotatably around the axial extension for opening, choking or closing the fluid communication and a sleeve control () for moving the sleeve () to open, choke or close the opening (), wherein the sleeve control comprises a first part having at least one member () engaging the profile, a second part having a fixation unit () fixating the sleeve control in the casing, an actuator () for moving the first part in relation to the second part, a power supply (), such as a battery, supplying power to the actuator (), and a first communication module () for receiving control signals from surface.

Downhole completion system

The present invention relates to a downhole stimulation system for stimulating production. The system has first and second inflatable packers () for isolating a production zone (), the packers being inflated through aperture (), a sliding sleeve valve () arranged between the two packers, the sleeve having an opening () to provide fluid communication between the inside of the well tubular and the production zone. In operation the inflatable device is set downstream of the inflation aperture of the lower packer, the well is pressurized to move the tool downstream to open the sliding sleeve valve, whereafter fracturing fluid with proppants having a size which is smaller than that of the sliding sleeve opening () and larger than the packer inflation aperture (), is pumped downhole using a displacement means such as a piston element.

Downhole stimulation system

A downhole completion system includes a production casing installed in a borehole and an annular barrier system to be expanded in an annulus between a production casing and a wall of a borehole or another well tubular structure downhole for providing zone isolation between a first and second zones. An annular barrier has a tubular metal part adapted to be mounted as part of the production casing. The downhole completion system further includes a sensor device which is in communication with the first zone and/or second zone, respectively, the sensor device being adapted to measure the first pressure of the first zone and the second pressure of the second zone for verifying the zone isolation.

A cementless downhole completion system including an annular barrier with a tubular metal part being mounted as part of a first well tubular metal structure arranged in a borehole in a formation and the annular barrier is arranged opposite an impermeable cap layer in the formation. A downhole completion system for completing a well having a top, comprising a formation comprising a cap layer, a borehole extending through the cap layer to provide an inner cap layer face and, a first well tubular metal structure arranged in the borehole comprising a first annular barrier and a second annular barrier. In the expanded position, the expandable tubular of the first annular barrier overlaps the cap layer and the expandable tubular of the second annular barrier overlaps the cap layer.

The present invention relates to an annular barrier to be expanded in an annulus between a well tubular structure and an inside wall of a borehole downhole. The annular barrier comprises a tubular part for mounting as part of the well tubular structure, an expandable sleeve surrounding the tubular part and having an inner face facing the tubular part, each end of the expandable sleeve being connected with a connection part which is connected with the tubular part, a space between the inner face of the sleeve and the tubular part, and an element arranged in connection with the sleeve, the element having a first part and a second part both of which extend around the inner face, the first part of the element being fastened to the inner face.

Annular barrier

The present invention relates to a completion method for completing a uniform inner bore downhole completion system in a reservoir in a formation, comprising the steps of drilling a hole in the formation, inserting a surface casing having an inner surface casing diameter, cementing an outer face of the surface casing to the hole, inserting a drilling head in the surface casing, drilling a main bore extending from the surface casing, the main bore having a first part and a second part, the second part comprising an end of the main bore, and the main bore having an inner main bore diameter which is substantially the same as the inner surface casing diameter of the surface casing, retracting the drilling head from the main bore and the surface casing, inserting a lower production casing in the second part of the main bore, the lower production casing having annular barriers and an inner diameter, setting at least one of the annular barriers of the lower production casing, inserting the drilling head into the first part of the main bore below the surface casing, drilling a lateral bore from the first part of the main bore, the lateral bore having an inner lateral bore diameter which is substantially equal to the inner main bore diameter, retracting the drilling head from the lateral bore, inserting a lateral production casing fully in the lateral bore, the lateral production casing having annular barriers and an inner diameter which is substantially equal to the inner diameter of the lower production casing providing a uniform inner bore completion having the same inner diameter in all production casings, enabling service also in the lateral production casing while service of the main production casing is performed, setting at least one of the annular barriers of the lateral production casing, inserting a main production casing in the first part of the main bore, so that the main production casing is fluidly connected with the lower production casing, the main production casing having annular barriers and an inner diameter which is substantially equal to the inner diameter of the lower production casing, setting the annular barriers of the main production casing, and providing an opening in the main production casing opposite the lateral production casing fluidly connecting the lateral production casing with the main production casing, so that the lower production casing, the main production casing and the lateral production casing is in fluid communication. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a downhole completion system for enhancing hydrocarbon-containing fluid production in a reservoir.

Downhole completion system and method

A downhole sensor system for measuring a pressure of a fluid downhole in a well, includes a well tubular structure having an inside and being arranged in a borehole with a wall and an annulus defined between the well tubular structure and the wall of the borehole, a sensor unit having a pressure unit sensor and being arranged in connection with the well tubular structure, the pressure unit sensor being adapted to measure a pressure of the fluid in the inside of the well tubular structure and/or in the annulus. The sensor unit further has a power supply and a communication module, a downhole tool with a power supply and a communication module for communication with the sensor unit. The downhole tool further comprises a pressure tool sensor adapted to measure a pressure of the fluid inside the well tubular structure substantially opposite the pressure unit sensor for comparison with the pressure measured by the pressure unit sensor.

Downhole sensor system

A downhole well system for producing hydrocarbon-containing fluid from a reservoir downhole includes a well tubular structure having first and second annular barriers for isolating an annulus outside the well tubular structure. Each annular barrier has a tubular part adapted to be mounted as part of the well tubular structure, the tubular part having an outer face, an expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular part, and an annular space between the inner sleeve face of the expandable sleeve and the tubular part. An inflow valve assembly is arranged between the first and the second annular barriers for providing fluid communication between the production zone and the inside of the well tubular structure through a passage in the inflow valve assembly by adjusting a closing member in relation to the passage.

Downhole well system

The present invention relates to a downhole string () for drilling through a low pressure zone (Zlow) in a formation () in a well (), comprising a drawdown casing () having a first end () closest to a top () of the well and a second end (), and an operational tool () connected to the second end of the drawdown casing, wherein the downhole string further comprises an annular barrier () having an expandable metal sleeve () surrounding the drawdown casing, each end of the expandable metal sleeve being connected with the drawdown casing, the expandable metal sleeve being adapted to contact a wall () of a borehole () or another casing so that the drawdown casing can rotate and slide in relation to the annular barrier after expansion of the expandable sleeve. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a downhole system and to a downhole method.

Downhole string for drilling through a low pressure zone

An annular barrier system for expanding an annular barrier in an annulus between a well tubular structure and an inside wall of a borehole downhole includes an annular barrier having a tubular part for mounting as part of the well tubular structure. The annular barrier further includes an expandable sleeve surrounding the tubular part, at least one end of the expandable sleeve being fastened in a fastener of a connection part in the tubular part. The annular barrier system also has a tool for expanding the expandable sleeve by letting a pressurized fluid through a passage in the tubular part into a space between the expandable sleeve and the tubular part.
