A nozzle head includes a nozzle holder and a nozzle being disposed within the nozzle holder. A fixed housing has a pressure water fitting therein. The pressure water fitting includes a hollow shaft connected to the nozzle holder with a channel for communication of water under pressure passing entirely through it. A first insertion bushing supports a ring-shaped flange. A second insertion bushing supports a ring-shaped flange. The first and second insertion bushings are disposed in the channel of the hollow shaft along at least a part of its length such that the first and second bushings, at least in part, overlap. A split labyrinthine packing is disposed in the overlapping area between the first and second bushings.

Nozzle head for rotating spray device

A positive displacement pump wherein the housing has a thin one-piece plate-like head bolted to the adjacent end of a casing for one or more reciprocable plungers. Each plunger is coaxial (a) with a suction intake valve installed in a larger-diameter portion of a two-part insert in the casing adjacent the head, and (b) with an outlet valve installed in a recess of the head adjacent a second portion of the insert. The second portion of the insert is surrounded by an annular space which communicates with a main suction chamber of the pump to return into the suction chamber any fluid leaking between the two portions of the insert. The second portion has a first seat disposed at one end of an axial channel and forming part of the intake valve, and a second seat disposed at the other axial end of the channel and forming part of the outlet valve. The second seat is disposed at or in the plane of abutment between the head and the casing of the pump housing, and the axial length of the reciprocable valving element of the outlet valve equals or is slightly less than the thickness of the one-piece head. The recess of the head serves to convey pressurized fluid to one or more consumers.

Coaxial valve arrangement for high pressure positive displacement pumps

A nozzle head comprises a plurality of nozzles, a nozzle carrier rotatable about an axis and driveable by a reaction of a pressurized water discharged from the nozzles, a stationary housing, a hollow shaft extending through the housing and having a central passage, a sleeve extending through the central passage of the hollow shaft, the sleeve forming a supply conduit and extending to the region of the nozzle carrier. The sleeve has a free end which is closed and a transverse opening which opens into the supply conduit, the nozzle carrier having a plurality of passages extending from the transverse opening to the nozzles for supplying pressurized water, and the nozzles being arranged so that water jets discharged from the nozzles are interrupted into edge regions of a jet curve parallel to a displacement direction of the nozzle head relative to an object.

Nozzle head

A nozzle head comprises an immovable housing provided with a pressure water connection, a nozzle support rotatable about an axis in the housing, a rotatable hollow shaft connected with the nozzle support and having a central opening, a sleeve arranged in the central opening of the hollow shaft and sealed relative to the latter, and a suction hood provided with a suction pipe and having an upper end mounted on the housing and a lower end having a seal to be supported on a surface to be cleaned.

The nozzle device having a plurality of spray orifices comprises a nozzle support rotatably mounted about a rotation axis and drivable by the reaction force of pressurized water issuing from the orifices, whose rotational motion is braked by an eddy current brake, and a stationary housing having a pressurized water connector. The nozzle device may be used with high operating pressures, particularly in cleaning rust and eroding concrete. A seal against these high operation pressures between the stationary parts and the water-guiding rotation parts in the housing is provided. A stationary sleeve with a central passage in the housing extends from the pressurized water connector guiding pressurized water into the central duct of a hollow shaft connected to the nozzle support rotatably mounted in the housing. The central passage widens in diameter relative to the central duct. Between the sleeve and the bounding surfaces of the widened passage a labyrinth-like sealing gap is provided with a plurality of circular or semicircular grooves located in the sleeve which widen the sealing gap on one side.

Nozzle device

A high pressure plunger pump comprises a centrally arranged pressure valve, an oscillatingly movable plunger, a sleeve guided on the plunger and limiting a working chamber, a suction pump which surrounds the sleeve and accommodates an aspirated fluid, the sleeve having a ring chamber which opens towards the plunger, and a bush which is arranged in the ring chamber and supported against the plunger, the bush abutting against the plunger.

A high pressure spraying gun has a jet pipe, a pressure water supply element, two trigger levers for right-handed and left-handed actuation, and only one blocking valve arranged to selectively block and to release pressure water through flow through the jet pipe or through the pressure water supply element and including a valve body, a spring which biases the valve body in a first direction, and a rocking member having two ends spaced from one another in a second transverse direction, so that the blocking valve can be opened only under the simultaneous action of two trigger levers on both ends of the rocking member.

High pressure spraying gun

A high-pressure plunger pump includes a pump housing centered on an axis and including a main body having two axially spaced ends, and a pump head secured to one of the ends of the main body. A plunger coaxially extends into the pump housing and a sleeve is floatingly supported on the plunger. The sleeve has two end portions one of which is closer to the pump head than the other, converges toward the pump head and has an axial end face. An insert body is positionally secured in the pump housing at the one end portion of the sleeve and bounds a circumferentially extending annular suction channel with this one end portion. The insert body includes an annular shoulder having a substantially axially facing seating surface. Pressure and suction valves are coaxially arranged within the housing. The suction valve is constructed as a plate valve including an annular suction valve member movable toward and away from its closed position in which its outer and inner regions respectively sealingly contact the annular shoulder of the insert body and the axial end face of the sleeve. A spring urges the suction valve member towards its closed position. The contact surfaces of the inner and outer regions of the suction valve body with the sleeve and with the insert member may be axially offset from one another, and the suction valve member may have a tapered region between such surfaces.

High-pressure plunger pump with coaxial pressure and suction valves

A high-pressure plunger pump which is designed for maximum pressures in the range between 1,000 and 4,000 bars includes a pump housing centered on an axis and including a main body having two axially spaced ends, and a pump head mounted on one of the ends of the main body. A plunger coaxially extends into the pump housing, and a sleeve is floatingly supported on the plunger. The sleeve has two end portions one of which is closer to the pump head than the other, converges toward the pump head and has an axial end face. Pressure and suction valves are coaxially arranged within the housing. The pump head includes a tube which forms a collecting container for a pressurized medium being pumped. This tube has a bore extending transversely of a longitudinal axis of the tube and around the axis of the housing and receiving a sleeve-shaped end portion of a pressure valve holder, and an external contact surface surrounding one end of the bore and engaging a corresponding sealing surface of the holder.

High-pressure plunger pump

An apparatus for treating ships' hulls in a dry dock has a carriage movable horizontally on a longitudinal wall of the dry dock and having upper and lower portions, a control cabin located on the upper portion of the carriage, working platform or device connected with the carriage and pivotable about at least one vertical and horizontal axis, working aggregates for operating the apparatus, a container located in the region of the lower portion of the carriage under water in filled condition of the dry dock and being water-tight and accommodating the working aggregates, and a plurality of conduits including at least one fresh air supply conduit extending to the container and at least one exhaust gas and spent air discharge conduit extending from the container, wherein the conduits extend up to the upper portion of the carriage.

Apparatus for treating ship hulls

A pressure transformer including at least three driving pistons coupled to driven plungersby means of piston rods; to ensure a fixed staggered position of the piston rods during the entire operation of the transformer, a tubular shaft supporting an inclined wobble disk is arranged for rotation in the driving part between respective piston rods; a peripheral groove on the wobble disk engages pushing rollers mounted for rotation on respective piston rods and additional rollers are mounted on the opposite side of the piston rods to engage a straight guiding groove in the housing of the driving part to secure the piston rods against rotation about their axes.

Hydraulic pressure transformer

A water-spraying device for cleaning ship's hull and other upright surfaces has a horizontally movable carriage from which an outrigger extends towards the surface to be cleaned, and carries a water-spraying device. The carriage has a longitudinally extending water reservoir and a water supply conduit extends along its path of movement and has valves which are opening by a device in the carriage when the water in the reservoir drops below a predetermined level.

Apparatus for cleaning surfaces having an upright orientation

A device for cleaning and/or corrosion-protecting upright surfaces of ship's hull, oil tanks and the like has a carriage movable along the surface and an outrigger arm extending towards the surface. The front end of the arm carries a beam, a horizontal leg of which carries a pivot bearing having an upright axes. A U-shaped carrier is mounted on the bearing to turn with the same and in turn has one or more working devices mounted in it.

Apparatus for treating upright surfaces

A positive displacement pump, especially a high-pressure piston pump, has a piston which is mounted for reciprocation within a pumping chamber. The piston is reciprocated by a drive including a crank, a first connecting link eccentrically mounted on the crank, a second connecting link articulated to the first connecting link and to the piston, and a control link connected to said first and second connecting links for pivoting about a common axis therewith and having a free end portion supporting a roller movable along and in contact with a curved cam surface. The roller is held in contact with the cam surface by a pivotally mounted support link. A movable component of a cylinder-and-piston unit displaces the roller and thus the control link into selected positions along the cam surface in dependence on the pressure of a medium admitted thereto which corresponds to the pressure in the outlet port of the pump for adjusting the output rate of the pump to higher levels for lower pressures and to lower levels for higher pressures.

Pump with an automatically adjusted output rate

Apparatus for cleaning straight or arcuate conduits has a housing which fits with clearance into a conduit and has an elastic washer slidably engaging the internal surface of the conduit so that the pressure of a fluid which fills the conduit behind the housing propels the housing forwardly until the housing encounters an incrustation or another obstruction. The housing contains a reciprocable impeller which can strike against the housing under the action of a spring to thereby cause a set of cutting tools at the exterior of the housing and in front of the washer to break up or strip off the obstruction. The impeller is cocked by a hollow plunger which has a flow-restricting end wall for admission of pressurized fluid into the internal space of the housing and moves rearwardly when the internal space is free to communicate with the conduit portion ahead of the housing by way of outlet openings which are provided in the housing and are normally sealed by a reciprocable valve which is biased to its operative position by a spring.
