An aircraft wing folding system folds an outboard wing section relative to an inboard wing section between a deployed position and a stored position in two discrete motions where each motion has an independent load path separate of the loading of the wing experienced by in-flight aerodynamic forces. The wing-fold mechanism of the present invention includes a fold assembly comprising a twist component and a fold component operable to fold the outboard wing section from the deployed position to the stored position that remains substantially unloaded with respect to in-flight aerodynamic forces when the wing is in the deployed or flight configuration.

Two-motion wing-fold mechanism with independent load path

An amphibious aircraft trailer includes a frame supported on a wheel/suspension bearing axle for movements over a roadway surface. Incorporated into the trailer is a cradle configured to engage a hull of the amphibious aircraft when it is loaded and unloaded in water conditions. A lift mechanism interposed between and coupled to the frame and the cradle is operable to displace the cradle vertically with respect to the frame such that landing gear associated with the amphibious aircraft can be extended or retracted while on the trailer. The trailer may also include a plurality of wheel tracks aligned with the landing gear to facilitate the aircraft's loading and unloading in its ground based mode of operation.

A water flow control valve ( ) designed to be installed externally on a toilet tank ( ) or as an integral element of a toilet ballcock ( ). The valve functions by sensing the pressure at the inlet port ( ). When no large demands are placed on the water supply ( ), the valve ( ) remains open, thus allowing the toilet tank ( ) to fill. When a shower is turned on, the water pressure drops which reduces the upward force on the diaphragm ( ), thus allowing the spring ( ) to place the poppet ( ) in a closed position which prevents the toilet tank ( ) from filling. When the water demand ceases, the water pressure opens the valve ( ), which allows the toilet tank ( ) to fill.

Water flow control device

A refractometer which provides a &ldquo;sugar&rdquo; or &ldquo;diet&rdquo; indication when immersed on a beverage. The device is electronic and lights either a &ldquo;sugar&rdquo; or &ldquo;diet&rdquo; signal to the user. A prove has a light source and a photodetector at one end and an angled face at the other end. Depending on the refractive index of the beverage, the light is either reflected back into the probe and into the photodetector and exits out of the angled face and does not reflect back to the photodetector.

Electronic device for distinguishing sugar sweetened beverages from artificially sweetened ones

A low-cost refractometer for determining whether or not a beverage has been sweetened with sugar. The refractometer has an elongated transparent body with a prism at one end and either an eye piece or a light source at the other end. A drop of the beverage to be tested is put on the face of the prism and a diffuser is closed over it to spread the liquid into a thin sheet and to diffuse the light entering the prism face. The user looks through the eye piece at the remote end and because of a light block, light only shows through at the eye piece if there is sugar in the drink. Alternatively, a light may be directed at the eye piece end and if light is visible through the diffuser, the sample has sugar and if there is no light showing at the diffuser, the sample is essentially sugar-free.

A lubricant connecting apparatus is disclosed for supplying lubricant from a lubricant reservoir to a distribution pump in the spindle lubrication system of a cotton harvester. The apparatus uses a piercing means to puncture and penetrate a lubricant reservoir, and has a connecting means to provide fluid communication between the lubricant reservoir and the distribution pump.
