Another aspect of the invention relates to a use of a fiber-optic Bragg lattice sensor as a temperature sensor in a regulation system.

A diagnosis method is for detecting ageing symptoms in a steam turbine. The efficiency and the steam flow rate of an aged steam turbine is compared to the efficiency and the steam flow rate of a relatively new steam turbine. The efficiency and the steam flow rate are calculated using readings at several operating points on the steam turbine. The time history of the efficiency and steam flow rates applied in contrast to parameters such as the peripheral. Mach number, pressure figure and adjustment of the inlet valve provide information on the extent of ageing of the steam turbine.

Diagnosis method for detecting ageing symptoms in a steam turbine

The flow of steam into a steam-collecting space of a steam turbine is controlled with a steam-inlet valve. The novel steam-inlet valve has an especially high control performance and losses of steam are kept especially low. The steam-inlet valve has a rotary cylinder that forms a shut-off member. The rotary cylinder is placed in a housing, and a steam inlet can be connected to a steam outlet via a passage provided in the peripheral surface of the rotary cylinder.

A method and a device for diagnosing and predicting the operational performance of a turbine plant use a plant model determined from plant-specific characteristics to determine at least one further operating parameter, in order to establish a deviation of a current operating state from an ideal state and in order to predict a reaction of the turbine plant to changing boundary conditions, given the stipulation of an operating parameter, during operation of such a turbine plant. The device includes a computer module which accesses a model memory for the plant model, in order to calculate individual operating parameters with the aid of the plant model.

Method and device for diagnosing and predicting the operational

A process and a device for imaging the operational condition of a turbine during a starting process include imaging a reference course being ascertained from turbine-specific characteristics and from operation-relevant parameters. As the reference course, a particular characteristic starting curve derived from the turbine-specific values is determined, which is ascertained by the operation-relevant parameters from a number of stored characteristic starting curves. A course over time of a turbine rpm is imaged in addition to the reference course.
