A track light assembly includes a low-voltage track. A light module comprises an elongated thermally conductive housing fitted over the track. The housing may also surround the track. The housing preferably forms an elongated channel. An elongated printed circuit board (PCB) is mounted on the thermally conductive housing and carries a plurality of clusters of light emitting diodes (LED's) distributed over the PCB surface. An elongated lens is fitted over the PCB and LED clusters. A track adapter attached to an end portion of the track includes electrically conductive contacts for electrically coupling the conductors in the track housing with contacts on the printed circuit board. Thus, a cool running, elongated, linear light module is provided which is adjustably placeable along the length of the track.

LED track lighting system

A track light module for use with a low-voltage track carrying a pair of elongated conductors transversely spaced from each other and accessible through a longitudinal slot in the track. The module includes a first housing that contains a printed circuit board carrying an LED and forming an aperture permitting light from the LED to be radiated beyond the first housing. A second housing carries a pair of electrical conductors adapted to extend into the low-voltage track to make contact with the conductors within the track. The second housing also includes surfaces for fastening the second housing to the track when the second housing and the track are moved relative to each other. A pair of electrical contacts on the printed circuit board contact the conductors carried by the second housing and thereby receive electrical power for the LED. A connector attaches the first and second housings together.

A surface-mounted pavement marker is provided for secure attachment to a pavement surface by adhesive. The bottom surface of the pavement marker is divided into sectors, and a parallel array of grooves is formed in each sector. The grooves in each array are angularly aligned to the grooves in adjacent arrays. Additionally, each groove extends continuously from its inner end to the outer periphery of the pavement marker.

A pavement marker includes a base and at least one lens with retroreflective areas aligned to reflect headlights back toward a vehicle for producing a nighttime signal. The lens and/or the base are formed from resins that include a fluorescent material. At least a portion of the lens is free of the retroreflective areas so that the fluorescent material of the lens and/or the base produces a daytime signal emitted from or through the lens.

A pavement marker has a base having at least one opening formed therein. A groove is formed in the base substantially adjacent the opening. The pavement marker further includes a cover for covering the opening in the base. The cover is formed with at least one energy directing rib configured for nesting with the groove in the base. The cover is ultrasonically welded to the base so that the energy directing rib melts and integrally fuses to portions of the base adjacent the groove.
