An exhaust system for a power system contained in an engine compartment. The exhaust system includes a mount for two or more exhaust treatment devices and an enclosure surrounding the two or more exhaust treatment devices. The enclosure defines a space with a higher temperature than a space defined by the engine compartment during steady state operation of the power system. At least one electronic or fluid device is coupled to the enclosure or mount and located on an exterior of the enclosure.

A removable exhaust treatment unit for an aftertreatment assembly is provided. The removable exhaust treatment unit include a housing, at least one exhaust treatment element coupled within the housing, and a flange on one end of the housing. The removable exhaust treatment unit also includes a plurality of apertures on the flange configured to receive a plurality of fasteners. The removable exhaust treatment unit further includes at least one handle coupled to the flange.

A damper assembly including an input member, an output member, and a transfer assembly is disclosed. The input member is configured to receive a torsional input. The output member is configured to provide a torsional output. The transfer assembly is coupled between the input member and the output member and includes a ring, a first guide, a second guide, a first spring, and a second spring. The ring defines a first linear slide path that has a first end and a second end, and a second linear slide path that has a third end and a fourth end. The first guide is slideable within the first linear slide path and coupled to the input member. The second guide is slideable within the second linear slide path and coupled to the input member. The first spring is positioned between the first guide and the second end of the first linear slide path. The second spring is positioned between the second guide and the fourth end of the second linear slide path. Movement of the input member relative to the output member causes the first guide to slide along the first linear slide path and the second guide to slide along the second linear slide path.

An exhaust system is disclosed. The exhaust system may have an emissions control system including a mount and at least one exhaust treatment device secured to the mount. The exhaust system may also have a mounting assembly including a platform and a base frame. The emissions control system may be secured to the platform. The mounting assembly may be configured to position the emissions control system substantially adjacent to a power source. The platform may be movable relative to the base frame between a first position and a second position.

An exhaust system device is disclosed. The exhaust system device may have a mount supporting a first exhaust treatment device and a second exhaust treatment device. The mounting bracket may be configured to substantially occlude the air cleaner from thermal radiation emitted by the first exhaust treatment device and the second exhaust treatment device.

A thermostat assembly for a combustion engine having at least one cylinder is disclosed. The assembly has a cylinder head configured to cap off the at least one cylinder, the cylinder head having a recess fluidly connected to a coolant passage of the combustion engine. A fuel line protective cover is disclosed. The fuel line protective cover includes a first leg configured to be mounted to a top surface of an engine and configured to extend the length of an engine. The fuel line protective cover further includes at least one second leg configured to be mounted to a side surface of an engine. The first leg and the at least one second leg cooperate to at least partially enclose a high pressure fuel system.

A cooling device for emissions system electronics is disclosed. The cooling device may have a mount for an exhaust treatment device. The mount may have a framework comprising a plurality of rigid members. The cooling device may also have a passageway located within at least one rigid member of the plurality of rigid members. The passageway may be configured to transmit a flow of coolant. The cooling device may further have a plate coupled to the at least one rigid member and at least one electronic device coupled to the plate. The at least one electronic device may be associated with the exhaust treatment device.

An engine system is disclosed. The engine system has an engine block having at least one combustion chamber and at least partially defining a crankcase. The engine system also has an inlet conduit connecting a compressor of a turbocharger with the at least one combustion chamber. The engine system further has an exhaust conduit connecting a turbine of the turbocharger with the combustion chamber and a ventilation conduit connecting the crankcase with the exhaust conduit. The engine system also has a controller in communication with the turbocharger, the controller being configured to adjust the geometry of the turbocharger to maintain a pressure of the crankcase lower than a pressure of the inlet conduit.

A fluid system for an engine is disclosed. The fluid system has a manifold with a plurality ports, and a retention device configured to constrain the manifold relative to the engine in only a single translational direction. The fluid system also has a plurality of tubes configured to communicate fluid from the ports with the engine and to constrain the manifold in the remaining translational directions.

An engine includes a housing having a combustion chamber. The engine may also include a fuel injector for supplying fuel directly or indirectly to the combustion chamber. Additionally, the engine may include an engine-lubricant-supply system operable to discharge engine lubricant onto the fuel injector.

An internal combustion engine, particularly suitable for use in a motor vehicle, is provided with a combustion air supply, an exhaust manifold, and a bypass venturi assembly. The bypass venturi assembly includes a housing having an outlet, a combustion air inlet connected and in communication with the combustion air supply, and an exhaust gas inlet connected and in communication with the exhaust manifold. A venturi nozzle is positioned in communication with the combustion air inlet. The venturi nozzle defines a bypass venturi section therein. The venturi nozzle and the housing define an exhaust gas venturi section therebetween terminating at an induction area. The venturi nozzle has a plurality of through holes in communication with a downstream portion of the exhaust gas venturi section. The exhaust gas inlet terminates at the induction area. A bypass valve is positioned to open and close the bypass venturi section. The bypass venturi assembly has a compact design with simple and efficient operation for selectively controlling the amount of exhaust gas which is inducted into the compressed combustion air.

A vibration isolation or noise attenuation and fluid sealing system, for use in connection with internal combustion engine components. For example, for use in the mounting of a valve cover or rocker arm cover upon a cylinder block or cylinder head, or for the mounting of an oil pan cover upon an oil pan housing. The system has an isolation medium or member mechanically and/or chemically bonded to a peripheral flange portion of the cover member. A sealing flange member is chemically and/or mechanically bonded to the isolation member or medium. The three components being a one-piece unitary cover assembly. The fluid leakage along the interfaces defined between the three components is effectively eliminated. The one-piece assembly is secured to the cylinder block or head, or the oil pan housing, by shoulder bolt fasteners. The fasteners exert compressive forces upon the isolation member so as to vary the stiffness and frequency characteristics thereof. Thus, fine tuning of the stiffness can effectively absorb, dampen, and dissipate noise and vibration.
