A method and tool for the production of three-dimensional attachments out of a flat strip by forming and fine blanking operations, especially for car seat components or the like. The flat strip is fed into a tool, at least one plate is stamped out of the plate in the tool, the plate is processed into an attachment in multiple processing steps, at first by fine blanking, in a following second step the developed burrs are flattened and then without finishing the attachment is removed from the tool ready for mounting. Attachments with complex geometry can be produced by combined fine blanking and forming operations in such a way, that mountable and burr-free parts with very small tolerances, high accuracy and process safety can be provided at effective costs. Simultaneous forming and fine blanking of the plate is carried out in the first process stage, wherein the plate is completely cut out of the flat strip and the position, form and location of the inner form created by the forming during the complete cutting out is aligned to the outer contour of the plate, and in the second stage, by centering the plate before flattening the burr, which developed during fine blanking at the outer and inner contours, according to its outer contour and simultaneously orienting the plate according to location and form of the shape of the inner form created in the plate in such a way, that the burr at the fine blanked surfaces can be flattened directly in the tool.

Method and tool for the production of three-dimensional attachments by forming and fine blanking operations

In a casing for a hinge attachment of a car seat and to a method for its manufacture, the height of a toothed element is significantly larger than the thickness of walls of the hinge parts and the hinge parts and the toothed element form a statically compact casing unit, which has a distinctly reduced weight and simultaneously has distinctive flexible assembling characteristics, high stability under load and high accuracy. The casing and toothed element are separately produced by fine blanking and both parts are connected through a material connection or an form-fit connection.

Casing for a hinge attachment of a car seat and method for its manufacturing

A device for fabricating a toothing at an inner facing edge of a three-dimensional pot-shaped body produced by forming and fine blanking exclusively implemented by cutting and/or shaving with a fine blanking die and/or a shaving device. The device includes a base plate and a pressure pad between which the pot-shaped body is receivable. A pilot die is received within a hollow space of a die and is biased in an advancement direction of the die such that a portion of the pilot die protrudes from the hollow space and contacts the base of said pot-shaped body before the die when the die is advanced in the working direction. A groove is thereby created between said curved edge of the pot-shaped body and the pilot die for leading a fine blanking burr or shaving chips into the recess of the pot-shaped body. Further advancement of the die fixing and pressing the burr or the chips into the recess.

Device for fabricating a toothing at a three-dimensional body produced by forming and fine blanking

A method for the reinforcement of a wall region of a three-dimensional attachment for high torque loads, wherein, a plate with a substantially evenly curved outer contour is cut out of a flat strip and the plate is formed and fine blanked into a pot-shaped body with projections and/or impressions and/or indentations and/or recesses and/or sinks and/or holes and/or pivots by a forming and fine blanking tool including die, counter-die, die plate, V-shaped projection and pressure plate, whereby a circular edge for a toothing is formed at the body. Hinge attachments with a much higher safety with regard to fracture of the wall region between the edge with an inner toothing and the pot-shaped body of the hinge attachment are producible in a cost-effective way. The thickness of the wall region between the edge and the pot-shaped body of the attachment by a purposeful material shifting with at least a two-staged cold-extrusion process in respectively opposite flow directions angular to the die movement is reinforced in such manner that the purposeful material shifting in the wall region approximately equalizes the runoff of material caused by the forming.

A method and a tool for fabricating a toothing at a three-dimensional body produced by forming and fine blanking, especially an attachment for car seat components or the like produced out of a flat strip, wherein the flat strip by forming and fine blanking in a tool is formed into a pot-shaped body with inner forms and a substantially evenly curved edge. Afterwards, a toothing is fabricated into the edge radially extending to the inner side of the body. The toothing in the edge of the pot-shaped body is exclusively produced by cutting and/or shaving with a fine blanking die and/or a shaving device, and a burr and/or shaving chips developing during cutting and/or shaving are pressed into a recess in the base of the pot-shaped body allocated to the toothing.
