A wheel for a skateboard may include a bearing assembly, an annular rim coupled to and extending annularly around the bearing assembly, and a tapered tire portion coupled to and extending annularly around the annular rim. A dual wheel assembly may include a first wheel disposed on a longitudinal end portion of an axle, a spacer disposed on the longitudinal end portion of the axle adjacent to the first wheel and abutting against the first wheel, and a second wheel disposed on the longitudinal end portion of the axle adjacent to the spacer and abutting against the spacer. A method of making a dual wheel assembly may include disposing a first wheel on an axle, disposing a spacer on the axle adjacent to the first wheel, and disposing a second wheel on the axle adjacent to the spacer.

Dual wheel assemblies for skateboards and related methods

An integrated printed circuit board-based solid state line voltage interface for use in automation control system applications. Relays connect various functional loads to the line level source in response to input from a controller unit. Switches enable a user to override the controller and manually control the connection of the functional loads. An alternative embodiment further includes limit switches and time delays. The compact nature of the device facilitates ease of installation, mounting of multiple units in less space, and mounting in various specialized location as desired.

Line voltage interface for automation systems

A method of conducting a racing series for competitors and team owners is disclosed. The racing series has a plurality of races divided into a first and second set of races with competitors racing in both sets of races. The competitors and team owners are awarded points after each race, with those points being adjusted between the two sets of races. The points of only a predetermined number of competitors and/or team owners are adjusted between the sets of races. Awards, including a championship, is awarded based on the points accumulated during the racing series.

Method of conducting a racing series

A simplified steering mechanism having both wheel steering and wheel tilting capabilities is provided. The mechanism comprises a generally planar platform, a plunger assembly attached to the bottom face of the platform, top and bottom axles of equal length, and a pair of wheels. Each axle intersects an intermediate space in the plunger assembly at an approximate midpoint, the ends of the axles being pivotally attached to the wheels when a downward vertical force is exerted on one of the longitudinal sides of the platform, the wheels tilt and turn simultaneously relative to the platform.

Simplified steering mechanism having both steering and tilting

A novel, simplified steering mechanism is provided which has both wheel tilting and steering capabilities. The steering mechanism comprises generally a platform, an angled plunger, top and bottom axles of equal length, and a pair of wheels. When a downward vertical force is applied to a side of the platform, the platform and plunger tilt towards that force, thereby causing tilting and directional changes in the wheels. The axles are of such a length that the platform and wheels cannot come into contact with each other, even upon exertion of a downward vertical force.

Simplified steering mechanism for skateboards and the like

A novel skateboard steering mechanism is provided which has both wheel tilting and steering capabilities. The steering mechanism comprises generally a platform, a plunger which is fixedly attached at one end of the bottom face of the platform, top and bottom axles of equal length disposed in parallel aligned space relationship to each other, a pair of wheels, and a steering assembly. Advantageously, the plunger encases the entire steering assembly and holds it within a set position. The steering assembly comprises upper and lower balls rigidly affixed to the top and bottom axles, respectively, at approximately the mid points thereof, a floating cam disposed between the upper and lower balls, and a wire spring, or similar, biasing the floating cam in a set position.

Skateboard steering mechanism

A novel steering mechanism is provided which has both wheel tilting and steering capabilities. The steering mechanism comprises generally a platform, a plunger which is fixedly attached at one end to the bottom face of the platform, top and bottom axles of equal length disposed in parallel aligned space relationship to each other, a pair of wheels, and a steering rod. The plunger hingedly intersects each axle. The top axle includes a forwardly extending steering rod holder and the bottom axle includes a rearwardly extending steering rod holder, the steering rod holders being in axial alignment with each other. One end of both the top and bottom axles are hingedly connected to one wheel while the other end of both axles are hingedly connected to the second wheel. A steering rod intersects both steering rod holders and the plunger in axially sliding relationship, such that when a downward vertical force is applied offset from the center of mass of the platform, the platform and plunger change position to a) bring the top and bottom axles out of alignment to cause the wheels to tilt, and b) bring the forwardly and rearwardly extending steering rod holders out of alignment to cause the platform to turn relative to the axles and wheels.

Steering mechanism

A puzzle key holder for use with two key rings. The holder includes a main body and an auxiliary body, each of which receives a key ring. Complementary sockets and pins are formed in the abutting edges of the bodies to normally retain such bodies as an integral member. The bodies are relatively moveable relative to one another so as to become disengaged from one another. Such disengagement can only be effected by person's having knowledge of the relative motions necessary to effect such disengagement.

Puzzle key holder

A combined opener for removing a twist-off bottle cap and the lift-off tab of a beverage can. The opener body is provided with a downwardly opening recess formed with protuberances adapted to complementarily mate with the knurls of a twist-off bottle cap. The body is also formed with a socket that receives the pull-tab of a beverage can
