A bed frame that can be assembled without the use of tools. The bed frame can also be easily collapsed into a relatively compact package since the normal long side rails are comprised of two components that can be manipulated such that the two components can be in an end to end orientation when the side rails used in a bed frame or in a generally side by side orientation to facilitate shipping and storage. The cross rails can also be formed of two components that can be moved between an end to end orientation and a generally parallel orientation. A locking system locks certain of the components into a fixed position when in the end to end orientation.

An apparatus includes a portable case, and a slide-out printer is connected to the portable case. The slide-out printer is connected so as to slide in and out of the portable case. The slide-out printer includes a scanner, and the scanner includes a platen. The apparatus also includes a slide-out shredder connected to the portable case. The slide-out shredder is similarly connected to slide in and out of the portable case.

A bed frame system for use particularly in hotels that includes side rails and cross rails that include extruded plastic panels that extend downwardly to the floor to block the space underneath the bed frame. The cross rails are connected to the side rails by corner members with a system that allows the entire bed frame to be assembled without the use of tools. In one embodiment, the bed frame is a platform style bed frame that is constructed of an upper bed frame section and a lower bed frame section that are interlocked together to raise the height of the bed frame and eliminate the foundation. The bed frame may have a deck made up of a plurality of individual slats that are supported by the side rails to support the mattress.

A connection system for use in joining structural members of a bed frame together. One of the structural members has a wedge and the other of the structural members has a cavity formed in a receiver. The wedge has a plurality of exterior surfaces that contact with a plurality of interior surfaces formed in the cavity. The wedge may be comprised of a plurality of wedge segments that enter into a plurality of openings in the receiver. The interfitting of the wedge into the receiver make a solid connection that is enhanced by weight of the bedding positioned thereon. The connection resists twisting forces as well as lateral and fore and aft forces.

A wrap around bed frame for use in supporting a box spring and mattress having side rails and cross members and a foot member that is affixed to the foot ends of the side rails to provide support for the foot end of the bedding. The entire bed frame can be assembled with fittings that do not require tools for assembly and thus, the bed frame can be assembled easily by the user by simply sliding or snapping the components together. Protective shields cover the bed frame so as to minimize harm to a person inadvertently striking one of the bed frame components. The foot member is comprised of an upper and lower member affixed together. There are also center wedges on the cross members where a foot can be affixed to the center wedge to facilitate assembly of the bed frame.

A connection system for use in joining structural members of a bed frame together. One of the structural members has a wedge and the other of the structural members has a cavity formed in a receiver. There may be four interior and exterior surfaces of the wedge and receiver and at least two of the surfaces taper inwardly in the downward direction. The interfitting of the wedge into the receiver make a solid connection that is enhanced by weight of the bedding positioned thereon. The connection resists twisting forces as well as lateral and fore and aft forces.

A bed frame wherein the side rail and/or cross rails are fully encased in plastic shields. A plastic shield or shields cover the entire cross sectional area of the side and cross rails so that the side rail and cross rails are easy to handle and esthetically pleasing. The system avoids the need for a person to handle cold, sometimes dirty, steel and the cross and side rails may be T-shaped or L-shaped angle irons, or other configurations and covered with plastic shields. With the plastic shields, the steel members need not be finished since the outer appearance of the steel is encased by the plastic shields and not seen by persons.

The entire bed frame can be assembled with fittings that do not require tools for assembly and thus, the bed frame can be assembled easily by the user by simply sliding or snapping the components together. Protective shields cover the bed frame so as to prevent tearing of the linen, bed spreads or other bed coverings used with the bed frame.

A medical dispenser for storing and dispensing electrodes includes a housing having a front member and a back member, at least one electrode strip disposed between the front member and the back member of the housing and an actuator mounted to the front member of the housing and adapted to engage the at least one electrode strip. The electrode strip includes a strip member and a plurality of electrodes mounted to the strip member. The actuator is movable relative to the front member such that movement of the actuator results in corresponding movement of the at least one electrode strip to dispense an electrode from the housing. The actuator may be adapted to engage an electrode of the at least one electrode strip. In one embodiment, the actuator is adapted to engage a male terminal of the electrode.

A unitary, one piece, T-shaped bed frame structural member. The member is usable as a side rail, a cross member or any other structural member of a bed frame. The T-shape includes a wide flange forming the large member of the T-shape with a short flange extending outwardly from the wide flange at about the center thereof. At the intersection of the wide and short flanges, two fillets are formed therebetween that are similar in shape and have a series of circular arcs having predetermined radii and the circular arcs meet together forming a straight line along the longitudinal length of the structural member. The presence and shape of the fillets improves the strength and manufacturability of the T-shaped bed frame structural member or members.
