Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining a requirement of a network-accessible service requested by a user, and determining a network policy according to the service. An infrastructure of a network domain is organized according to the requirement and the policy to provide the service. A distributed controller operating within the network domain configures time-insensitive and time sensitive network domain functions according to the network policy. The time-insensitive functions are obtained from the distributed controller and applied in a manner that selects an access domain type of a number of different types. The selection is made according to an application of the time-insensitive and time sensitive network domain functions. Network performance data is monitored, and the infrastructure is reconfigured responsive to the application the functions, to obtain a reconfigured network infrastructure based on the network performance data, to ensure compliance with the network policy. Extended, open network architectures supporting delivery of network-accessible services

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system automatically downloads a software application and a routing map to a robot of a smart home (SH) in a smart community (SC); the application facilitates communication between the robot and a smart home controller (SHC) of the SH, and the routing map facilitates determining by the robot of a route to the SH when the robot is at a location outside a preconfigured range of operation for the robot. The method also includes initiating a procedure for dispatching to the location of the robot a carrier robot to transport the robot to the SH, responsive to a request for transport of the robot; the request is directed to the SHC using the software application, and the request is in accordance with the robot not being configured for autonomous movement. Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system configures one or more robots to perform tasks in an establishment, and assigns to the robots privileges and/or priorities in accordance with a policy. The method also includes detecting a situation in the establishment requiring performance of a task; facilitating the performance of the task by at least one of the robots; and dynamically reprogramming at least one of the robots in response to the situation to perform a specialized task to address the situation. Method and apparatus for inter-networking and multilevel control for devices in smart homes and smart communities

A flexible service-based architecture (SBA) for next generation communication networks is described. In an embodiment, a method performed by a system comprising a processor comprises receiving a service request for provision of a data communication service to a communication device via a communication network comprising a plurality of different network resources defined by resource components and sub-components of the resource components. In response to receiving the service request, accessing network resource abstraction information that identifies the resource components, and the sub-components respectively associated with the resource components, and selecting a subset of the different network resources for the provision of the data communication service to the communication device based a service criterion associated with the data communication service. The method further comprises facilitating, by the system, the provision of the data communication service to the communication device via the communication network using the subset of the different network resources.

Flexible service based architecture for advanced communication networks

A framework for a 6generation (6G) ubiquitous wireless communications network is provided. The framework includes obtaining first information associated with a first condition of a terrestrial radio network from a terrestrial controller that collects the first information from the terrestrial radio networks; determining second information associated with a resource of a satellite network, where a defined application is alternatively executable at the mobile device via any of a group of networks, the group comprising the satellite network and the terrestrial radio networks, and determining whether to re-assign the defined application from the terrestrial radio network to the satellite network based on a result of evaluating at least the first condition.

Framework for a 6G ubiquitous access network

Connectionless mobility management techniques across different wireless technologies are provided. In an embodiment, a method comprises obtaining, by a controller device that comprises a processor and that is part of a communication network employing a relativistic routing protocol (RRP), condition information regarding operating conditions associated with different access point devices, wherein the communication network comprises router agent devices respectively connected to the different access point devices that communicatively couple the different access point devices to a server device via respective communication links to a router device. The method further comprises determining, by the controller device based on the operating condition information, an assignment of the different access point devices to mobile devices for usage as serving nodes for the mobile devices, and controlling, by the controller device, latency settings of the respective communication links for the mobile devices based on the assignment.

Connectionless mobility management for hybrid networks using relativistic routing protocol

Facilitating unified mobility management for metaverse and physical worlds in advanced networks is provided herein. Operations of a system include determining a change has occurred to a service parameter of a user equipment executing a metaverse experience. The metaverse experience can include a combination of first usage of a first resource selected from a first group of resources associated with a physical world and second usage of a second resource selected from a second group of resources associated with a virtual world. The operations can also include executing a mobility management microservice for the user equipment, wherein the mobility management microservice is selected based on a type of the change to the service parameter.

Facilitating unified mobility management for meta verse and physical worlds in advanced networks

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining, by a robot of a group of robots, a condition of the robot to obtain a determined result. A corrective plan is identified responsive to the determined result indicating a deficiency and a determination is made as to whether the robot is configured to perform the corrective plan. The corrective plan is executed responsive to a determination that the robot is configured to perform the corrective plan. Alternatively, assistance of a robot controller is requested responsive to the determining indicating the robot is not configured to perform the corrective plan. System and method for automated operation and maintenance of a robot system

Service-driven coordinated network intelligent controller framework

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system determines that performance of a service is required at a first location in a smart community; identifies a robot to be transported, and determines whether physical transport or virtual transport is to be performed for the robot. If physical transport is to be performed, the system initiates communication with a robot transport controller to schedule the physical transport to the first location from a different second location. If virtual transport is to be performed, the processing system initiates communication with a radio access network (RAN) to schedule the virtual transport; the virtual transport includes configuring the robot at the first location. System for intelligent transport between smart homes and smart communities

In 6G, there are multiple radios that can cover the same location at any time, and yet radio failure can occur. However, a mobile edge computing (MEC) platform can increase the footprint of adjacent radios to compensate for a failed radio. To reduce the failure interruption and maintain a quality of experience for a subscriber, the MEC can utilize a virtual session capability to communicate radio change of service characteristics to a service provider. Consequently, the change in service characteristics can comprise an expanded coverage area for adjacent radios such that a mobile device of the subscriber can take advantage of the expanded coverage area without experiencing an interruption in service.

Facilitation of dynamic edge computations for 6G or other next generation network

Unlike smart devices, Internet of things (IoTs), such as meter readers, generate very low revenue per user. Traditional tunnel/bearer based connection-oriented architectures do not scale economically for billions of IoT devices due to the amount of signaling overhead associated with GTP tunnel setup/tear down and the states related to GTP tunnels maintained at various parts of the mobile network. However, the mobility network can efficiently support massive stationary and/or mobile IoTs by reducing the amount of signaling overhead, the state of the IoTs kept in network, and simplifying the data plane when possible.

Connectionless segment routing for 5G or other next generation network

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device comprising: a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising: obtaining a first indication of a first decision to communicate with a first communication device via a wired network endpoint of a wired communication system, the first communication device being in communication with a base station of a wireless communication system at a time of a making of the first decision, the base station being configured for first communications with a network transport layer via a first link and the wired network endpoint being configured for second communications with the network transport layer via a second link; responsive to the obtaining the first indication, changing in a route information listing a first latency value for the first link, the first latency value being changed from a first original value to a higher value that is greater than the first original value, the route information listing containing information associated with a plurality of communication devices, including the first communication device, that are communicating with the network transport layer; and responsive to the obtaining the first indication, changing in the route information listing a second latency value for the second link, the second latency value being changed from the higher value to a lower value that is less than the higher value.
