A smart parking recommendation system for energy conservation in a vehicle includes a smart parking recommendation application (SPRA) that determines that enabling conditions have been met and obtains from sensors and actuators of the vehicle, information about the vehicle and the vehicle's environment. The SPRA monitors information from the sensors and actuators and obtained from remote computing resources, a vehicle operator's current vehicle usage and determines a typical parking duration for a current parking location, and categorizes the current parking location. The SPRA utilizes an artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) model to suggest a parking spot within the parking location that satisfies user and energy consumption passenger compartment thermal quality preferences. The SPRA selectively parks or guides the vehicle to be parked within a parking spot that satisfies the constraints and preferences, and minimizes energy consumption for maintaining passenger compartment and battery thermal qualities.

Systems, methods, and devices for efficient fulfilment of user needs that dynamically arise during a trip are described. Fulfilling the user needs includes identifying the need, negotiating a plurality of attributes related to satisfying the need, determining at least one geotemporal zone of intent for satisfying the need based on a vector of intended travel of the vehicle and the negotiated plurality of attributes, detecting a point of interest for fulfilling the need within one or more of the at least one geotemporal zone of intent, and returning the point of interest to the user for addition to the trip as a waypoint to fulfill the need based on optimizing user satisfaction with the trip over other points of interest for fulfilling the need.

A system for de-emphasizing fixed vehicle-mounted objects within a rear camera display includes a rear camera system adapted to capture images as the vehicle moves in reverse and display the captured images on the rear camera display, and a data processor in communication with the rear camera system and the rear camera display and adapted to collect sequential images captured by the rear camera system, compare the plurality of sequential images, identify fixed vehicle-mounted objects within the sequential images, calculate a portion of the sequential images that are obscured by identified fixed-vehicle objects, and, when the portion of the sequential images that are obscured by identified fixed-vehicle objects lies within a pre-determined range, to outline the identified fixed vehicle-mounted objects within the rear camera display, and augment the identified fixed vehicle-mounted objects.

The sensor data includes scene data indicative of a scene inside the vehicle and outside the vehicle. The method further includes determining that the hearing-impaired vehicle occupant is articulating sign language using the sensor data. Also, the method includes determining a vehicle-occupant message corresponding to the sign language articulated by the hearing-impaired vehicle occupant to generate vehicle occupant-message data in response to determining that the hearing-impaired vehicle occupant is articulating sign language. The method further includes transmitting the vehicle occupant-message data and the scene data to a remote system in response to generating the vehicle occupant-message data. Further, the method includes receiving a vehicle connected service from the remote system.

The method further includes causing, by the processing device of the vehicle, the object to be illuminated.

A computer is provided for a system for detecting, characterizing, and mitigating road network congestion. The system includes a plurality of motor vehicles. Each motor vehicle includes a telematics control unit (TCU) for generating one or more location signals for a location of the associated motor vehicle and one or more event signals for an event related to the associated motor vehicle. The computer includes one or more processors for receiving the location signal and/or the event signal from the TCU of the associated motor vehicles. The computer further includes a non-transitory computer readable storage medium (CRM) including instructions, such that the processor is programmed to identify a location of the road network congestion at a current time step. A lightweight and portable inflatable assembly includes an inflatable structural component and a chemical reaction based inflator device. The inflatable structural component includes a flexible housing defining a cavity. The assessment module is configured to determine whether the event data indicates a fault associated with the subsystem by comparing the deviations to a threshold deviation. The training module is configured to update a model trained to identify faults in vehicles to identify the event as a fault associated with the subsystem of the vehicle based on the event data in response to the deviations indicating a fault associated with the subsystem.

Adaptive prognostics systems and methods for vehicles

A system is provided for mitigating a road network congestion. The system includes a plurality of motor vehicles positioned in associated locations in a road network. Each vehicle has one or more sensors generating an input and a Telematics Control Unit (TCU) for generating at least one location signal for a location of the associated motor vehicle and at least one event signal for an event related to the associated motor vehicle, with the location signal and the event signal corresponding to a High Speed Vehicle Telemetry Data (HSVT data) based on the input from the sensors. The system further includes a computer, which communicates with a display device and the TCUs. The computer includes a processor and a computer readable medium including instructions, such that the processor is programmed to identify the congestion and determine that the congestion is a recurring or a non-recurring congestion.

According to one or more examples, a system includes an observer vehicle, and a vehicle in a predetermined vicinity of the observer vehicle. The observer vehicle detects an operating condition of the vehicle using one or more perception devices. The observer vehicle determines that the operating condition does not satisfy a predetermined norm. The observer vehicle generates a message indicating the operating condition of the vehicle. The observer vehicle identifies a communication identifier of the vehicle. The observer vehicle sends the message to be received by the vehicle using the communication identifier via a vehicle to everything (V2X) communication module.

A vehicle off-guard monitoring system includes an automobile vehicle having multiple sensor inputs capturing sensor data representing hazards including garage fires, excessive water or flooding, rain, snow, and at least one person loitering proximate to the automobile vehicle. A database has multiple saved images of the hazards. A computer compares the multiple saved images to the sensor data captured by the multiple inputs to identify if at least one match exists between any one of the multiple saved images of the hazards and the sensor data and when the at least one match exists generating a predefined warning signal. A smart-phone application in communication with the computer and a remote system signals the predefined warning signal to a user of the automobile vehicle to mitigate against damage occurring to the automobile vehicle.
