The present disclosure is directed to a delivery catheter with a mechanism of discharging an adhesive during and/or immediately prior to deployment of the medical device by the delivery catheter.

A medical electrical lead includes a threaded conductor, a coil conductor, and a sleeve. The threaded conductor has an outer surface with a threaded section that includes threads defining grooves between the threads. The coil conductor has coils seated in the grooves of the threaded conductor. The coil conductor has a coil major diameter greater than a thread major diameter. The sleeve is positioned radially outward of the coil conductor and has an inner surface in contact with the coil conductor so as to produce a radially inward force compressing the coil conductor against the threaded section of the threaded conductor.

Electrical and mechanical connection for coiled stimulation/sensing lead conductors

An electrical implantable lead includes an elongated lead body having a plurality of lumens therein, including at least one linear lumen and at least one planar, non-linear lumen and a plurality of conductor cables disposed within the plurality of lumens. The electrical implantable lead further includes a terminal connector coupled to a proximal end of the lead body, the terminal connector being in electrical communication with at least one of the plurality of conductor cables. Further, the electrical implantable lead includes at least one electrode coupled to the lead body, the at least one electrode in electrical communication with at least one of the plurality of conductor cables. In accordance with various embodiments, the at least one non-linear lumen extends longitudinally along a portion of the lead body and includes a plurality or crests and a plurality of troughs.

Implantable medical leads having oscillating cable conductor lumens

Various embodiments concern wrapping a stimulation cuff around a nerve. The cuff can comprise a main body and at least one electrode. The main body can comprise an inner tab, an outer tab, and an intermediate portion extending between the inner tab and the outer tab, the at least one electrode disposed on the intermediate portion, the main body biased such that the cuff assumes the coiled arrangement. The cuff can be uncoiled by pulling on a first elongate element attached to a first tubular member, the first tubular member encircled within the cuff. The nerve can be engaged with an inner surface of the main body along the intermediate portion while the inner tab is releaseably attached to the first elongate element. The first elongate element can be released to allow the cuff to wrap around the nerve.

A lead assembly for an implantable medical device includes a lead body having a proximal end and a distal end. One or more connectors at the proximal end of the lead body are each adapted for connection to a pulse generator. One or more conductive elements are coupled to the one or more connectors at the proximal end and extend through the lead body to the distal end. Each of the one or more conductive elements includes an electrode coil that extends from the distal end of the lead body that is formed into a helix having a diameter greater than a diameter of the electrode coil.

One or more multi-electrode lead coupled to a cardiac sensor/stimulator. Each lead includes a lead body extending from one lead proximal end portion to one lead distal end portion. Each lead further includes at least three tissue sensing/stimulation electrodes disposed along the lead body and at least three terminal connections disposed along the lead proximal end. The tissue sensing/stimulation electrodes are each adapted to sense or stimulate a subject's heart. The cardiac sensor/stimulator includes a signal processing circuit adapted to sense the heart in a first instance and stimulate the heart in a second instance by way of one or more tissue electrode configurations. The configurations are selectable from any combination of the tissue sensing/stimulation electrodes of each implanted lead and an indifferent return electrode. In one example, the signal processing circuit automatically selects the tissue electrode configurations. In another example, a user (manually) selects the tissue electrode configurations.

Multi-site lead/system using a multi-pole connection and methods therefor

A medical electrical lead and a method of forming a medical electrical lead having at least one glass coating between a first and second component. The glass coating forms a portion of a strong, hydrothermally stable joint between components or provides insulation, or tailors an impedance and/or capacitance of an electrode. The glass coating is bonded to at least one of the first component or second component along the length of the joint.

A cardiac lead adapted for fixation at least partially within a cardiac vessel. The lead includes, in one embodiment, an elongate lead body defining a proximal region and a distal region including a distal end region having at least one electrode and a distal tip. The distal end region is configured such that the electrode and the distal tip can be implanted in the cardiac vessel. Stiffening structures in the distal region of the lead are adapted to stiffen selected portions of the lead for fixation of the electrode within the cardiac vessel. In some embodiments, the stiffening structures include an implantable member adapted to be implanted in a lumen of the lead. In other embodiments, the stiffening structures include a sheath adapted to be deployed over the lead body. In still other embodiments, the stiffening structures are integral to the lead and/or the lead body.

A lead assembly includes an elongate body having a conductor electrically coupled with an electrode coupled to the elongate body. The lead assembly includes a push tube extending along at least a portion of the elongate body. A distal tip is coupled to the elongate body substantially adjacent to the distal end of the elongate body. The distal tip is sized and shaped to couple with a push tube distal end. In one option, the distal tip includes a seat to receive the push tube distal end. In another option, the seat is a side rail seat and a guide wire extends along the elongate body and is slidably coupled with the side rail seat. The lead assembly includes, optionally, an active fixation device slidably coupled with a portion of the elongate body, and the active fixation device is sized and shaped to couple with the push tube.

Lead assembly and methods including a push tube

Adhesiveless direct bonding between polymeric tubular members assembled with an interference fit using an oxidative cold gas plasma treatment, and implantable medical leads manufactured in part using a cold gas plasma bonding process are disclosed. An illustrative method includes subjecting a number of polymeric tubular members to an oxidative cold gas plasma, creating an oxygen rich layer on each of the tubular members. The treated surfaces of the tubular members are assembled together, forming a direct bond along an overlapping region between the tubular members when in conformal contact with each other.
