A mold for manufacturing a turbomachine fan casing of composite material, includes a mandrel around which a fibrous preform of the fan casing is to be wound; counter-mold angular sectors assembled on the external contour of the mandrel which are intended to close the mold and to compact the fibrous preform wound on the mandrel; wherein each angular sector includes a first lateral flange positioned at the first end of the angular sectors and a second lateral flange positioned at a second end of the angular sectors, the first and second lateral flanges cooperating respectively with the second and first lateral flanges of the adjacent angular sectors. An angular sector includes a first groove formed in the first of second lateral flange, a first seal being positioned in the first groove, the first seal to be compressed between the first and second lateral flanges of two adjacent angular sectors.

A tooling for injecting a polymer resin into a fibrous preform for the manufacture of a revolution part in composite material including a barrel shape with an inside diameter of smaller diameter delimiting the revolution part into an upstream portion and a downstream portion of the inside diameter, the upstream portion including a back-draft intermediate portion, injection tooling wherein, to allow a demolding of the barrel-shaped part once the injection and the polymerization of the polymer resin are carried out, the injection tooling includes on the one hand a frustoconical drum comprising a first drum portion in direct contact with an inner surface of the portion of the revolution part downstream of the inside diameter and a second drum portion and on the other hand a segmented insert whose outer surface matches an inner surface of the portion of the revolution part upstream of the inside diameter.

Injection tooling for barrel-shaped rotating part

An injection mold for the manufacture of an axisymmetric part of composite material including a mandrel supporting a fibrous preform and including an annular wall, and a plurality of counter-mold angular sectors assembled on the mandrel and intended to close the mold and to compact the fibrous preform wound on the mandrel. Each angular sector includes an annular base intended to come into contact with the fibrous preform. The annular base extends between the first and second lateral edges in a circumferential direction, the first lateral edge of the annular base of an angular sector being in contact with a second lateral edge of the annular base of an adjacent angular sector.

Rtm injection mold and method using asymmetric anti-pinching sectors

The present invention is a blade sharpening fixture, tool and kit for use with logging equipment with a rotary drum that has dozens of staggered blades mounted thereupon. The sharpening tool clamps onto a single blade of the logging equipment while the blade is still mounted on the rotary drum, so that the blade may be sharpened in the field. The sharpening tool includes a sharpening fixture and a grinder. The sharpening fixture includes a blade clamp for clamping onto the blade; a track attached to a sloped surface that can be positioned parallel or perpendicular to the blade; and a grinder connector assembly for securing the grinder securely and slidably to the track.

Sharpening fixture, portable sharpening tool and kit

A fluid control device for hydraulic systems is provided having closure means movably positioned within a valve housing and adapted to selectively close a fluid passageway in response to a predetermined pressure level. The closure means includes a piston body slidably located in the valve housing for reciprocating movement therein and a spring adapted to bias the piston body away from a shoulder to maintain the fluid passageway open during normal operation. The piston body includes a conical nose and a plurality of flow channels (or apertures) which allow fluid to pass through the piston body during normal flow. When the fluid pressure is large, indicating a downstream break or leak in the flow line, the fluid pressure will overcome the force exerted by the spring and force the piston body against the shoulder, thereby blocking the flow pathway and stopping flow through the device.

Precision safety shut-off valve

A fluid shutoff device for use as a safety device to cut off the water supply to a building in the event of overly high water consumption due to a leak or break in the plumbing in the building is provided with a motor that is responsive to remote actuation to rotate a three position selector valve to a desired flow setting. The selector valve is settable in a position which allows water to flow freely through the safety flow control device as if it were not there, a position which diverts water through a safety flow pathway, or a position that prevents water flow into the main water line entrance of the building, thereby allowing the invention to act as a shutoff valve. At least one optoelectronic device is included in the safety device to monitor the flow position of the selector valve by detecting the absence or presence of light reflected off a sensor drum that rotates in synchronism with the selector valve. When the device is operating as a safety flow control device, a piston having apertures therethrough is spring biased away from a shoulder to allow water to pass through the device; when the water pressure is large, indicating a downstream plumbing break or leak, the water pressure will overcome the force exerted by the spring and force the piston against the shoulder, blocking the safety flow pathway and stopping flow through the device.

Flow sensitive fluid shutoff safety device

A device for use as a safety device to cut off the water supply to a house or building in the event of overly high water consumption due to a leak or break in the plumbing in the house or building is disclosed which has only three moving parts and is of simple and inexpensive to manufacture construction. The safety flow control device of the present invention has a three position selector valve which selectively either allows water to flow freely through the safety flow control device as if it were not there, diverts water through a safety flow chamber, or acts as a shutoff valve by preventing the flow of water into the main water line entrance of the house or building. When the device is operating as a safety flow control device, a piston having apertures therethrough is spring biased away from a flange to allow water to pass through the device; when the water pressure is large, indicating a downstream plumbing break or leak, the water pressure will overcome the force exerted by the spring and force the piston against the flange, blocking the apertures and stopping flow through the device.
