A dispensing valve is provided for dispensing fluid products. The valve includes a marginal portion, a flexible valve head with a discharge orifice therein, and a flexible connector sleeve having one end connected with the marginal portion and the opposite end connected with the valve head adjacent a marginal edge thereof.

Dispensing valve

A dispensing package is provided for fluid products such as liquid soaps, shampoos and conditioners, household detergents, cleaners, polishes, moisturizing creams, and the like, and includes a container with a self-sealing dispensing valve mounted therein. The valve includes a marginal flange, a valve head with a discharge orifice therein, and a connector sleeve having one end connected with the valve flange and the opposite end connected with the valve head adjacent a marginal edge thereof. The connector sleeve has a resiliently flexible construction, such that when pressure within the container raises above a predetermined amount, the valve head shifts outwardly in a manner which causes the connector sleeve to double over and extend rolling.

A dispensing valve is provided for being sealingly disposed with respect to, and dispensing a product from, a discharge opening of a container. The preferred form of the valve includes a generally annular marginal portion adapted to be sealingly engaged when the valve is sealingly disposed with respect to the container discharge opening. The valve also includes a central head portion extending from the marginal portion. The head portion has an exterior side with a generally concave shape when viewed from outside the container and has an interior side with (1) a planar central area, and (2) a generally curved, radially outer portion which tapers toward the planar central area such that the exterior and interior sides converge toward the planar central area to provide a tapered construction with reduced thickness. The head portion includes a normally closed orifice defined by a plurality of slits that extend (1) transversely through the head portion from the exterior side to the interior side, and (2) laterally from a common origin whereby flaps are defined by the slits with each slit terminating in an outer end which is located laterally beyond the planar central area. The orifice opens by outward displacement of the flaps when the pressure in the interior of the container exceeds the pressure on the exterior of the valve by a predetermined amount. The orifice remains open even when the pressure on the interior of the container does not exceed the pressure on the exterior of the valve.

Flexible slit valve

A dispensing package is provided for fluid products such as liquid soaps, shampoos and conditioners, household detergents, cleaners, polishes, moisturizing creams, and the like, and includes a container with a self-sealing dispensing valve mounted therein. The valve includes a marginal flange, a valve head with a discharge orifice therein, and a connector sleeve having one end connected with the valve flange and the opposite end connected with the valve head adjacent a marginal edge thereof. The connector sleeve has a resiliently flexible construction, such that when pressure within the container raises above a predetermined amount, the valve head shifts outwardly in a manner which causes the connector sleeve to double over and extend rollingly.

A non-venting valve and dispensing package for fluid products and the like includes a container of the type having an interior volume which reduces as fluid product is dispensed from the package. A self-sealing dispensing valve has a marginal portion sealing about an associated discharge opening in the container, and a valve head with an orifice which shifts between open and closed positions in response to the application and release of pressure on and/or within the container. A vent resisting member retains the orifice in the closed position after each dispensing of fluid product from the container to prevent ambient air from being drawn back through the orifice into the container.

Non-venting valve and dispensing package for fluid products and the like

A dispensing package for fluid products and the like comprises a container shaped to receive and retain a fluid product therein, and includes a discharge aperture therethrough. A self-sealing closure includes a marginal flange portion, and a head portion with an orifice which opens and closes in response to the application of a predetermined discharge pressure. The flange portion of the closure is positioned about and encloses the discharge aperture, and is constructed from a thermoplastic material, which is heat fused to the container to form a secure interconnection and fluid seal therebetween.

A sealing and dispensing closure for the outlet opening of a package, such as a flexible plastic bottle containing a consumable beverage. The closure comprises a closure base which is threaded onto the outlet opening of the bottle, and a removable overcap which is pivotally connected to the closure base. The closure base includes a spout having a self-sealing dispensing valve therein which is movable from a lowered closed position to a raised open position by an increased pressure in the bottle resulting from the squeezing of the bottle. The valve is positioned at a recessed location within the spout so as to preclude access to the valve by the consumer when the valve is lifted to its raised open position, and the overcap includes a post which seats in the upper end of the spout when the overcap is mounted on the closure base, and so as to form a hermetically sealed chamber above the valve which prevents the valve from lifting to its raised position in the event the bottle is inadvertently squeezed.

Dispensing closure for package containing a consumable beverage

A dispensing package is provided for fluid products such as liquid soaps, shampoos and conditioners, household detergents, cleaners, polishes, moisturizing creams, and the like, and includes a container with a self-sealing dispensing valve mounted therein. The valve includes a marginal portion, a head portion with a discharge orifice therein, and a generally J-shaped connector sleeve having one end connected with the marginal portion and the opposite end connected with the head portion. The connector sleeve has a resiliently flexible construction, with first and second leg portions that are oriented at an acute included angle, and join one another at an arcuate base portion to facilitate movement of the head portion of the valve when dispensing product from the container. A top dispense embodiment of the package has an inverted J-shaped configuration at the top of the upper leg, which extends arcuately into the head portion of the valve for dispensing products from the top of the container.

Dispensing package

The present invention is a safety guard comprising a pair of opposed cups adapted to receive the opposite ends of the aerosol container respectively. Each cup has an integral arm extending toward the opposite cup, each arm having a perpendicular flange. One of the flanges is formed with an opening for receiving a portion of the other arm, the flanges adapted to engage each other and having apertures aligned when the flanges are together. The apertures are adapted to receive the shackle of a padlock to lock the guard installed over an aerosol container in a way which may be removed only by authorized cognitive persons.
