A fluid end assembly of a hydraulic fluid pump includes a housing, a plug member, a lock cover, and at least one retention pin. The housing may include at least one bore. The plug member may be positioned at least partially within the at least one bore. The lock cover may be coupled to the housing and configured to retain the plug member within the at least one bore during operation of the fluid end assembly. The at least one retention pin may extend at least partially through a portion of the lock cover to retain the lock cover in a rotational position that retains the plug member at least partially within the bore.

Fluid end of a hydraulic fluid pump and method of assembling the same

A method of assembling a fluid end includes inserting a valve through a bore of a housing of the fluid end and into an interior volume of the fluid end, inserting a valve cover into the bore such that the valve cover seals the bore, and coupling a lock cover to the housing, the lock cover positioned over the bore to prevent removal of the valve cover from the bore. When the lock cover is coupled to the housing, the lock cover does not apply a preload against the valve cover.

A well servicing pump includes a power end and a fluid end operably coupled to the power end. The fluid end includes a casing that defines at least one pumping chamber, the pumping chamber at least partially defined by a spherical wall, and a first cylindrical wall extending along a first axis and defining a portion of a power end bore, the first cylindrical wall intersecting the spherical wall to define a first interface edge. A second cylindrical wall extends along a second axis and defines a portion of a discharge bore, the second cylindrical wall intersecting the spherical wall to define a second interface edge, and a third cylindrical wall extends along a third axis and defines a portion of a suction bore, the third cylindrical wall intersecting the spherical wall to define a third interface edge, wherein the first axis, the second axis, and the third axis are arranged between 100 and 140 degrees with respect to one another.

Reciprocating pump with improved cross-bore

A pump including a housing defining a plurality of inlet bores. A first interior wall is arranged to at least partially define a first of the plurality of inlet bores. The first interior wall has a contour in a cross section taken normal to the plunger axes. The first interior wall is at least partially defined by the revolution of the contour about a first inlet axis that is normal to and intersects a first of the plurality of plunger axes. The contour includes a cylindrical portion arranged parallel to the first inlet axis, a planar portion extending in a direction perpendicular to the first inlet axis and spaced a first distance from the plunger axis, and a convex bulge portion extending from the cylindrical portion and spaced a second distance from the plunger axis. The contour further includes a V-shaped groove portion extending from the convex bulge portion.

Fluid-end of a high pressure pump

A fluid end of a high-pressure pump having a power end bore, a discharge bore, a suction bore, an access bore, and a cross-bore intersection formed in portions of the fluid end is provided. A transitional open area opens into the cross-bore intersection from the power end bore; a transitional open area opens into the cross-bore intersection from the access bore; a transitional open area opens into the cross-bore intersection from the suction bore; and a transitional open area opens into the cross-bore intersection from the discharge bore. A spherical geometry is created in the cross-bore intersection. A spherical surface forms an outer boundary of the cross-bore intersection.
