The apparatus includes a first tie rod end component having a first threaded surface and a second tie rod end component having a second threaded surface. The first and second tie rod end components are configured to rotatably couple to a center component in opposite directions. The tie rod end components each include a groove designed to assist a user in determining whether the tie rod ends are properly coupled to the center component. If the groove is visible to a user then the tie-rod end is not screwed in far enough. In contrast, it the groove is hidden that indicates that the tie rod end component and the center component are properly assembled to each other.

A kingpin removal system including a cart assembly having one or more wheels and a yoke assembly carried by the cart assembly and positionable around a steering spindle of a vehicle's wheel end assembly. The yoke assembly can include a pair of plates interconnected by a pair of rods. An intermediate plate is positioned between the pair of yoke plates. A wheel end support mechanism can be carried by the cart assembly and a hub mounting ring can be carried by the wheel end support mechanism. The hub mounting ring can be positioned to connect to and support the wheel end assembly once the kingpin is removed.

Tie rod end

A spindle repair kit including a pair of alignment mandrels positionable in a respective spindle bore of a steering spindle. An alignment rod is operative to retain the mandrels in their respective spindle bores. The kit can also include a first clamp member and a second clamp member, each being positionable between the spindle bores. The kit includes a drill fixture including a drill mounting surface and a bearing fixture including a bearing aperture sized to receive the alignment rod. Fasteners clamp the drill fixture and first clamp member to the first spindle bore and clamp the bearing holder and second clamp member to the second spindle bore. The kit includes an arbor connectable to a drill and a reamer, wherein the arbor is sized to position the reamer in the first spindle bore.

Steering spindle repair kit and associated apparatus and methods

A vehicle door assembly comprises an inner panel integrally formed by upper and lower horizontal beams interconnected by front and rear upright beams, and an outer panel bonded to the inner panel. The frame portion comprises opposite front and rear U-shaped side frame members non-detachably attached to each other by upper and lower intermediate frame members so as to form a continuous perimeter. The side frame members are made of a first steel material and the intermediate frame members made of a second steel material, which is different from the first steel material. A method for manufacturing the inner panel comprises the steps: providing U-shaped sheets of the first steel material, providing top and bottom sheets of the second steel material, non-detachably connecting the U-shaped sheets to the top and bottom sheets so as to form a blank, and stamping the blank into the frame portion.
