Novel tools and techniques for providing enhanced services to telephone subscribers with multiple telephone lines, which can include one or more traditional telephone lines, wireless telephone lines, Internet protocol-based telephone lines, and/or the like. For example, certain tools can provide a subscriber with a unified voice mailbox for a plurality of the subscriber's telephone lines. In some cases, the subscriber does not need to check multiple voice mailboxes (each associated with one of the subscriber's telephone numbers) in order to ensure that the subscriber has received all messages intended for that subscriber. Instead, any incoming call on any of the subscriber's lines can be routed to a converged voice mailbox for easy retrieval by the subscriber of all messages from one location. Some tools employ a VoIP switch to handle routing of the incoming call to the correct voice mailbox.

A system and method is provided for higher-level service intelligence to cooperatively interoperate via a common session control and uniformly control and coordinate at least one transport resource provided by a communication network service provider. Including in the system is at least one association controller (AC) which is connectable to one or more communications networks so as to communicate with a systems entity located therein. In particular, the AC is configured to dynamically receive event registration list (ERL) which include a listing of events, wherein the list is received through an interactive exchange with an integrated services controller (ISC) associated with the particular AC. Receipt of the list registers one or more events for communications services which have a notification interest in the particular event.

Method and system for event and message registration by an association controller

A system and method that provides for an exchange of messages and associated data across a plurality of communication network system entities for one or more communications networks, wherein the system includes one or more distributed message brokers which are in communication with any number of communication network system entities. The message broker may perform message processing, which includes relaying and screening based on prioritization rules which may include customer classification criteria, associated service classification, and system entity classification applied to a message classification for messages communicated over the communications networks.

A system and method for providing centralized control of one or more communication services, includes an Integrated Services Controller (ISC), which is in communication with any number of communications networks, such as the Public Switched Telephone Network or in the Internet. The ISC may be further configured to dynamically receive a Message Registration List (MRL) through an interactive exchange of commands with one or more communications services. This MRL may include one or more messages in which a particular communications service has a notification interest. The ISC may provide centralized processing for messages received from the communications services. Intelligent prioritization rules may be configurable by a communications service provider so as to affect the prioritization of the communications services by ISC.

Method and system for dynamic message registration by a service controller

A method and system for providing integrated control of communication services includes an Integrated Service Controller (ISC) to establish communications with one or more communications networks, such as the Public Switched Telephone Network or the Internet. The ISC is further configured to provide dynamic service profile merging of service specific parameters, which are settable by a customer and/or communications service. The service specific parameters may contain variable entries which each of the communication services provide. The ISC may logically merge the service specific parameters into a multi service profile which contains a master key as well as service specific fields unique to each communications services.

A system and method for providing integrated control of communication services, which includes an Integrated Services Controller (ISC), which is configured to establish communications with any numbers of communications networks, such as The Public Switched Telephone Network or the Internet. Communications may be established with one or more communications services, which in turn provide classification criteria which includes variable parameters that define a capability of a particular communications service. Also received may be a Message Registration List (MRL), which registers with the ISC messages in which a particular communications service has a notification interest. Through these communications, the ISC may be configured to provide a centralized processing for messages received from various system entities so as to apply intelligent prioritization rules for each message processed.

Method and system for dynamic service classification and integrated service control

A method and system for improving word classification performance of a speech recognition system having a predefined vocabulary of acceptable words and allowing multiple speech attempts from a user. At least one best word and corresponding word and non-word scores is determined for each speech attempt by the user. At least one common best word is then determined among all the speech attempts. If the highest ranking best word is common across all attempts, that word is used to accept the speech input. Otherwise, an objective measure representing a confidence level of the corresponding word and non-word scores is determined for each of the common best words for each speech attempt by the user. Each of the objective measures is then compared to a predetermined threshold. The speech attempts by the user is then classified based on the comparison of the objective measure to the predetermined threshold.
