A device for intraosseous injection is provided which can accurately, quickly, and safely introduce desired fluid into a patient's bone marrow. The intraosseous injector includes a housing, a container located within the housing, a hollow needle, and a valve. The intraosseous injector may further include a release mechanism comprising a bone probe needle and a movable release member. The intraosseous injector may include a depth limiter mechanism operable to limit a depth of penetration of the needle relative to a surface of a bone. A method for intraosseous injection is also provided.

Intraosseous injection device

Methods and systems for a catheter access port cleaning, disinfection or sterilization device are disclosed. The catheter access port cleaning, disinfection or sterilization device may comprise, a first housing having a power source and control circuit; a second housing shaped to mate with a catheter and having a first ultra-violet light source mounted therein, the first housing wired to the second housing to power the light source. When activated, the ultra-violet light source emits ultra-violet radiation that is transmitted from the second housing to the catheter attached to a patient. In this way, the device provides an efficient system for cleaning, disinfecting or sterilizing an access port in the second housing while reducing patient infections.

Device and method for sterilizing a catheter system

Methods and systems are provided for sterilization. In one example, a device may include a body with a flexible tether and a receiving aperture having a central axis, the body forming an internal cavity, the cavity housing at least one circular battery with a central axis perpendicular to the central axis of the aperture; and a UV source positioned at an end of the receiving aperture. Various other additional features and alternative configurations are included.

Sterilizing device and method

There is described a sample holder and associated fluid container assembly for optical analysis of a fluid sample within a translucent container of the fluid container assembly. The sample holder includes clamping members rotatably mounted to a frame for rotation, about parallel axes spaced apart from each other, between a container accepting position in which the clamping members are spaced apart from the translucent container, and an analysis position in the clamping members abut the translucent container. The clamping members each define an optical waveguide slot extending therethrough that is substantially aligned with the translucent container when the clamping members are disposed in the analysis position, to thereby provide optical access to the translucent container for optical analysis of the fluid sample therein.
