The receiver can be configured to receive a demultiplexed wavelength of light from a second wavelength division multiplexer of the optical network. The demultiplexed wavelength of light can be demodulated to decode information encoded onto the demultiplexed wavelength of light. Optical power of the demultiplexed wavelength of light can be measured. The decoded information and the optical power can be provided for display through an interface.

Fast frequency multiplexed optical network channel identification

A system comprises an internal optical switch, couplable to a plurality of fibers, configured to automatically select fibers in succession from the plurality of fibers for testing. An optical test module, coupled to the internal optical switch, is configured to generate or receive one or more wavelengths of light on each selected fiber of the plurality of fibers. A communications interface, coupled to the internal optical switch and the optical test module, is configured to establish a communications link between the system and a second system to test each selected fiber.

A number of channels on an optical network is determined by a device. A size of a display through which a user interface is to be provided is determined. A number of tiles to be included in the user interface is determined based on the number of channels and the size of the display. Each tile is associated with a channel. The user interface including the number of tiles is caused to be provided through the display.

Channelized optical wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) adaptive interface

A method of designing an integrated circuit includes performing a pre-layout simulation of the integrated circuit. The pre-layout simulation is performed using a netlist generated from a process design kit (PDK) file. The PDK file includes a plurality of device model cards that are assigned to plurality of devices. The plurality of devices include a first device having at least one parasitic diode that is associated with at least one isolation well, the PDK file including information of the at least one parasitic diode. A design layout of the integrated circuit corresponding to a result of the pre-layout simulation is generated.

Methods of designing integrated circuits and systems thereof

A test set includes at least one signal input port, a test circuitry, a processor, a user-input device, and a display. The test circuitry couples to and receives signals from the at least one signal input port. The test circuitry then generates test data corresponding to the received signals. The processor couples to and receives test data from the test circuitry and generates test results. The processor also couples to and receives commands from the user-input device. The processor further operatively couples to the graphical display that receives and displays the test results from the processor. In one embodiment, the test set is capable of performing line qualification and connectivity testing. A modem module can be used to facilitate connectivity testing. The modem module can be a plug-in module with a common interface to the test set. The modem module can also contain a fingerprint value that identifies the module type and the software revision number to the test set.

Telecommunications transmissions test set

A method for optical spectrum analysis provides a tunable optical filter and scans a wavelength range of an optical signal that is larger than the free spectrum range of the tunable optical filter. The optical signal is filtered through the tunable optical filter. Separate multiple optical orders of the wavelengths scanned and filtered by the tunable optical filter are individually detected.

Full-band optical spectrum analyzer and method

An optical signal measurement system provides a tunable optical filter. An unknown optical signal is scanned through the tunable optical filter. The wavelength and chromatic dispersion values of the unknown optical signal scanned through the tunable optical filter are measured by operating the tunable optical filter in a scanning mode for at least one of OSA and PMD measurements, and in a stepping mode for CD measurements. The wavelength and the dispersion values in the unknown optical signal are specified.

Optical signal measurement system

A network test architecture includes a plurality of modules for performing a plurality of functions, each of the plurality of modules having a unique identifier. An additional module for performing an additional function has an additional unique identifier. A control bus is connected among the plurality of modules; a data bus is connected among the plurality of modules; and a power bus is connected among the plurality of modules. A controller controls operation, data transmission, and powering of the plurality of modules and the additional module, respectively, through the control bus, the data bus, and the power bus, the controller using the unique identifier and the additional unique identifier of the plurality of modules upon simultaneous connection of the control bus, the data bus, and the power bus to the additional module.
