The present disclosure is drawn to leveling compositions, embossed print media, and methods of preparing embossed print media. The embossed print media can include a media substrate, an image-receiving layer applied to the media substrate at a coating weight of 3 gsm to 50 gsm, and a leveling composition layer. The image-receiving layer can include a pigment filler having an average particle size ranging from 0.1 &#x3bc;m to 20 &#x3bc;m and a polymeric binder, and in examples herein, is embossed. The leveling composition layer can be applied at a coating weight of 0.2 gsm to 3 gsm to the image-receiving layer, and can include a cationic ionene polymer.

Leveling compositions

A printable media comprising a supporting substrate, including fibers, having an image side and a non-image side, which contains an image receiving layer coated on the image side of the supporting substrate. The image receiving layer comprises pigment fillers, polymeric binders and ink optical density enhancement agents. Also disclosed is a method for producing the textured media.

Printable media

The present disclosure is drawn to leveling compositions, which can include from 80 wt % to 95 wt % water, from 0.5 wt % to 15 wt % organic solvent, and from 0.2 wt % to 6 wt % surfactant. The leveling compositions can further include from 1 wt % to 10 wt % cationic ionene polymer having a weight average molecular weight from 100 Mw to 8000 Mw, and from 1 wt % to 10 wt % polymeric binder.

A printable media comprising a composite supporting substrate, having an image side and a non-image side, that contains a first and a second constituent material layers wherein, at least, one of the constituent material layer is a fiber layer and wherein the first and the second materials layers are laminated together with a flame resistant adhesion layer. The printable media further comprises an image receiving layer that is coated on the second layer on the image side of the composite supporting substrate. In the printable media described herein, at least, the image side of the composite supporting substrate and the image receiving layer are textured surfaces. Also disclosed is a method for producing the textured media.

Testing a peel force of an adhesive medium includes an elevator assembly slidably connected to a column, the elevator assembly includes a connection to a gripper plate, and the gripper plate includes a first slot sized to accommodate a free portion of an adhesive medium and a jammer sized to secure the free portion of the adhesive medium in the first slot.

A printable medium with a supporting base substrate that has, on its image side, a substrate sizing layer and an image receiving layer, and having, on its back-side a fabric backing and barrel layer with flame retardancy. Also disclosed are the method for making such printable medium and the method for producing printed images.

Printable medium

A printing substrate comprising fibers from wooded resource that have more than 5% of fines fibers with an average length that is less than 0.1 mm; more than about 10 wt % of, at least, a polymeric substance; and between 0.1 wt % and 40 wt % of particulate inorganic substances having an average particle size between 0.1 and 2.0 m. Also disclosed herein a method for making such printing substrate and a method for producing printed images using said printing substrate.

Printing substrate

A fabric print medium containing a fabric base substrate and a primer layer composition applied to the fabric base substrate. Said primer layer composition includes at least three types of polymeric particles, at least two different fire retardant agents and a water-soluble high-valence metal complex. Also disclosed are the method for making such fabric print medium and the method for producing printed images using said material.

Fabric print medium

A printable recording media including a composite base substrate that contains, at least, two constituent material layers that are laminated together with a flame resistant adhesion layer containing an adhesive compound and up to 50% of a flame retardant agent by total weight of the flame resistant adhesion layer, wherein, at least, one of the constituent material layer is a fiber layer; and an image receiving layer that is coated on one side of the composite supporting substrate. Also disclosed are the method for making such printable recording media and the method for producing printed images on such printable recording media.

An inkjet printable medium includes an opaque substrate having I(x)/Iequal to or less than 0.05, wherein I(x) is an intensity of light remaining at a distance x, where x is the distance that light travels through the substrate, and wherein Iis an initial intensity of light at x=0. The substrate includes at least two non-woven paper layers; and an adhesive, opacity enhancing layer disposed between the at least two non-woven paper layers, the adhesive layer including a visible light-blocking dye or pigment. An image receiving layer is coated on the substrate. The substrate has a basis weight ranging from about 100 gsm to about 500 gsm.

An inkjet media includes a base substrate, an upper fluid barrier layer disposed on a side of the base substrate, a lower fluid barrier layer disposed on an other side of the base substrate, an image receiving layer disposed on the upper fluid barrier layer, a back adhesive layer disposed on the lower fluid barrier layer, an activation layer disposed on the back adhesive layer, an adhesive protection layer disposed on the activation layer.

Inkjet media and method thereof

In one embodiment, a kit for making a display includes a first medium, a support element, and first and second wave generators. The first medium is foldable according to scoring to form a display with a cavity. The element is attachable or attached to a back surface of the folded first medium, to be positioned at least partially within the cavity. The first wave generator is attachable or attached to the back surface, to receive signals from a signal generator and produce mechanical waves that cause the first medium to vibrate and generate audible acoustic waves within a first frequency range. The second wave generator is attachable or attached to the element, to receive signals from the signal generator and produce mechanical waves that cause the element to vibrate and generate audible acoustic waves within a second frequency range, different from the first frequency range.

Display with wave generators

A wall covering includes a composite structure that includes a first layer forming a non-image side of the composite structure and a second layer laminated to the first layer forming an image side of the composite structure. The first layer includes a fabric to facilitate air flow on the non-image side. The image side has a surface roughness of less than or equal to 5 microns by PPS method. The second layer includes one of synthetic polymeric fiber in a non-woven structure and a synthetic polymeric film. The wall covering is a Type-II wall covering that is PVC-free.
