Systems and methods for generating patient-specific surgical guides comprising: capturing a first and second images of an orthopedic element in different reference frames using a radiographic imaging technique, detecting spatial data defining anatomical landmarks on or in the orthopedic element using a neural network, applying a mask to the orthopedic element defined by an anatomical landmark, projecting the spatial data from the first image and the second image to define volume data, applying the neural network to the volume data to generate a reconstructed three-dimensional ('3D') model of the orthopedic element; and calculating dimensions for a patient-specific surgical guide configured to abut the orthopedic element.

Systems and methods for using photogrammetry to create patient-specific guides for orthopedic surgery

A preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a system for detecting a presence of a macromolecule having one or more resonant frequencies. The system includes a pulse generator (a T-wave generator in the most preferred embodiment) for generating a detection profile having a detection set of T-waves and applying the detection profile to a sample including the macromolecule, at least one T-wave having a center frequency substantially centered on one of the resonant frequencies of the macromolecule, a detector for receiving the detection profile after the application of the detection profile to the sample, an analyzer, coupled to the detector, for determining a T-wave absorption profile by identifying which T-waves of the set of T-waves have been wholly or partially absorbed by the sample and to subsequently identify the macromolecule by use of the absorption profile.

A locknut wrench is disclosed. The locknut wrench has a handle having a gripping end with a cylindrical gripping area there adjacent. The handle also has a coupling end formed of spaced parallel arms with a slot therebetween with aligned apertures through the arms. An intermediate portion is formed between the gripping end and coupling end. The wrench has a head in a generally cylindrical configuration having a lower end formed of a cylindrical wall with an upstanding recess for the receipt of a locknut, with a plurality of downwardly extending legs for removable coupling with respect to a locknut to be turned. The wall of the head is formed with an upwardly extending wire port in a generally rectangular configuration for the passage of wires therethrough. The upper extent of the head has an aperture of an enlarged diameter therethrough in axial alignment with the apertures of the handle. A cylindrical pivot pin extends through the apertures of the handle and is coupled with respect thereto as well as the aperture of the head with the aperture of the head being of a slightly enlarged diameter to allow the pivoting of the head with respect to the pin and the handle.
