A cooktop appliance and a gas burner assembly are provided. The gas burner assembly includes an annular burner body positioned at a top surface of a top panel of the cooktop appliance. The burner body forms a central combustion zone, a plurality of flame ports at the central combustion zone, and a mixing chamber upstream from the plurality of flame ports. A fuel manifold forms an outlet passage spaced apart from an inlet at the burner body such that gaseous fuel is flowable from the outlet passage at the fuel manifold into the mixing chamber through the inlet at the burner body, and such that air is entrained into the mixing chamber by the flow of gaseous fuel entering the mixing chamber through the inlet at the burner body.

A cooktop appliance and a gas burner assembly are provided. The gas burner assembly is positioned at a top panel and includes an annular burner body positioned at a top surface of the top panel. The annular burner body forms a central combustion zone, a plurality of flame ports at the central combustion zone, and an annular mixing chamber upstream from the plurality of flame ports to permit a fuel-air mixture to flow into the central combustion zone through the plurality of flame ports. An annular burner base forms a bottom wall of the mixing chamber and an annular burner head forms a top wall of the mixing chamber. A puck including a domed projection separably positioned at the top surface of the top panel and extending toward the central combustion zone.

A gas cooktop includes a primary gas burner, an auxiliary gas burner positioned adjacent to the primary gas burner, a fuel supply system, a griddle positioned over the primary gas burner and the auxiliary gas burner, and a temperature probe configured for receipt within the griddle proximate the auxiliary gas burner. A controller is configured to initiate operation of the fuel supply system in the auto griddle mode where a flow of fuel is supplied to operate the primary gas burner and the auxiliary gas burner at a target heat level, obtain a griddle temperature of the griddle using the temperature probe, identify a heating failure based at least in part on the griddle temperature, and implement a responsive action in response to identifying the heating failure.

A cooktop appliance includes a top panel with a gas burner disposed on the top panel. The cooktop appliance also includes a grate with a plurality of fingers. The grate is removably positioned above the gas burner. The plurality of fingers includes a sensor finger. The cooktop appliance also includes a hermetically sealed temperature sensor mounted to the sensor finger of the plurality of fingers of the grate. The hermetically sealed temperature sensor includes a base, a sheath extending from the base to a rounded tip, and a contact pad in the base.

A cooktop appliance and a gas burner assembly are provided. The gas burner assembly includes an annular burner body forming a central combustion zone and a plurality of flame ports. An annular burner head is placeable onto the burner body to form a top wall of an annular mixing chamber upstream from the plurality of flame ports. A mixing tube extends along an axial direction and includes an inlet passage extending along the axial direction in fluid communication with the mixing chamber. The mixing tube is configured to provide a flow of gaseous fuel to the mixing chamber. The burner head includes a tab extending along the axial direction into the mixing chamber. The tab is radially co-positioned to at least one flame port and the inlet passage.

A cooking appliance includes a cooktop, a user interface provided on the cooktop, a manifold provided within the cooktop, the manifold including a gas input, a first burner supply line extending from the manifold, a second burner supply line extending from the manifold in fluid parallel with the first burner supply line, a gas burner, the gas burner including a first stage fluidly connected to the manifold via the first burner supply line and a second stage fluidly connected to the manifold via the second burner supply line, a connection line fluidly connecting the first and second burner supply lines, a connection line valve provided on the connection line between the manifold and the gas burner, and a controller operably coupled with the connection line valve, the controller being configured to selectively open the connection line valve.

Control systems and methods for cooktop appliances

A cooktop appliance may include a first gas heating element, a second gas heating element, a first supply valve, a second supply valve, a first supply valve, a second supply line, a first bypass line, a second bypass line, a supplemental valve, and a controller. The first supply line may extend between a first supply valve and the first gas heating element. The second supply line may extend between the second supply valve and the second gas heating element. The first bypass line may extend between the first supply line and the first supply valve at a first bypass outlet. The second bypass line may extend between the second supply line and the second supply valve at a second bypass outlet. The supplemental valve may be provided on the first bypass line. The controller may be operably coupled with the supplemental valve to selectively open the supplemental valve.

A gas cooktop defining includes a gas burner for selectively generating a flow of heated air, a grate positioned over the gas burner, and a griddle assembly seated on the grate over the gas burner, the griddle assembly comprising a griddle defining an outer side and a probe receptacle defined in the outer side, a temperature probe configured for receipt within the probe receptacle, and one or more flow control features for directing the flow of heated air around or away from the probe receptacle.

A gas cooktop includes a gas burner for selectively generating a flow of heated air, a griddle defining a probe receptacle, a griddle magnet positioned within the probe receptacle, and a temperature sensor configured for receipt within the probe receptacle. The temperature sensor includes a sensor housing, a temperature probe positioned within the sensor housing and being movable between an extended position and a retracted position, and a probe magnet mounted to the sensor housing, the probe magnet engaging and utensil magnet to secure the temperature sensor such that the temperature probe engages the contact pin and is pushed into the retracted position.

A cooktop appliance defining a reference center and a radial direction extending from the reference center, a circumferential direction extending relative to the reference center, and a vertical direction extending orthogonal to the radial direction is provided. The cooktop appliance includes a ceramic-glass plate, a heating assembly positioned below the ceramic-glass plate, and a programmed magnet centered at the reference center. The programmed magnet is configured to generate a magnetic force along the radial direction.

An oven appliance includes a two or more cooking chambers positioned within a cabinet and a heating assembly for independently and selectively heating those chambers. A controller is configured to obtain a cooking time for each cooking chamber, determine preheat statuses for each chamber, and generate adjusted cooking times for each chamber based at least in part on their respective preheat statuses. The heating assembly then heats each cooking chamber for its adjusted cooking time such that the heating processes in all cooking chambers end simultaneously.
