A reflector element and a method for manufacturing a reflector element are disclosed. In an embodiment the reflector element includes a plastic substrate and a silver layer arranged on the plastic substrate. The reflector element further includes a first barrier layer arranged on the silver layer, wherein the barrier layer has an at least 15 nm-thick oxide layer and a second barrier layer arranged on the first barrier layer, wherein the barrier layer includes siloxane, and wherein a thickness of the second barrier layer is at least 250 nm and at most 450 nm.

Reflector element and a method for manufacturing same

A high-pressure discharge lamp may include a discharge vessel, which encloses a discharge volume, wherein a filler is housed in the discharge volume, wherein the discharge vessel is equipped with an end which is tubular and in which a two-part feedthrough is sealed by means of glass solder, wherein an electrode is attached to the feedthrough, which protrudes into the discharge volume, wherein the feedthrough is composed of a front part and a rear part, wherein the rear part is manufactured from niobium material and the front part is manufactured from iridium.

High-pressure discharge lamp

The lamp uses a sealing system with a ceramic supporting element () having a short length LA together with a W&#x2014;Nb leadthrough part () and a specially adapted glass solder (), which is based on an AlOrare earth oxide system. In this case, the W part is accommodated in the supporting part over a length LW of 1 mm, and the aspect ratio LW/DUW, formed from the length LW and the diameter DUW of the W part, is at least 10.
