A computer for controlling a drivetrain of a hybrid vehicle including a combustion engine, an electric machine, a battery and a 'heated' catalytic converter including an internal heating system. The computer being configured to determine a plurality of values for a criterion pertaining to the energy consumption of the drivetrain as a function of the distribution of torque between the at least one combustion engine and the at least one electric machine, of the at least one combustion mode of the combustion engine, and of the energy consumption due to the use of the catalytic converter, select the minimum value of the consumption criterion, apply the combustion engine torque command, the electric machine torque command, the command pertaining to the energy consumption by the catalytic converter and the command pertaining to the combustion mode of the combustion engine corresponding to the selected value of the consumption criterion.

Control computer for a drive train of a hybrid vehicle

A computer for managing the drive train of a hybrid vehicle including an internal combustion engine, an electric machine and a battery. The drive train being capable of operating in a plurality of charging or discharging modes of the battery, the computer determines a set of probabilities of activation of the mode, determines the value of the speed of the electric motor for each mode, determines a set of electrical powers of the electric machine, calculates an energy consumption reduction indicator, determines the torque requested by the driver, the value of the speed of the internal combustion engine and the speed of the vehicle, determines a torque to be applied to the electric machine, and sends a command to the electric machine on the basis of the torque to be applied to the electric machine determined.

Method for managing torque distribution in a hybrid vehicle

A method for assistance in starting a heat engine of a motor vehicle including an auxiliary network supplied by a low-voltage auxiliary battery and by a voltage-controlled DC current source. This method is launched in the first place when the electronic control system of the vehicle is woken up as a result of a specific action performed by a user, which may be followed by an action of starting the heat engine. This method also consists in controlling the current source so as to cause it to operate at its maximum power during a time interval adapted to reach a maximum positive polarization of the auxiliary battery, and then, at the end of this time interval, in the absence of an effective starting command, controlling the current source so as to cancel the current flowing in the auxiliary battery.

Method to assist with the starting of a motor vehicle combustion engine

The present disclosure teaches a control unit for the exchange of electrical power between a first, a second, a third, and a fourth wiring system branch of a wiring system of a vehicle. The control unit may include a first switching device, a second switching device, a third switching device, and a first, second, third, and fourth terminal configured for connection to the first, second, third and fourth wiring system branches respectively. The first switching device may be connected between the first terminal and the fourth terminal. The second switching device may be connected between the fourth terminal and the third terminal. The third switching device may be connected between the second terminal and the third terminal.
