A distributed device network including a number of device nodes connected to a wireless mesh network and including memory configured to store instructions thereon. The instructions cause the one or more processors to receive, from a server by a first device node of the number of device nodes, a first packaged application, the first packaged application including a first functionality, execute, by the first device node, the first packaged application to provide the first functionality receive, from the server by a second device node of the number of device nodes, a second packaged application, the second packaged application including a second functionality, execute, by the second device node, the second packaged application to provide the second functionality, wherein the number of device nodes are resource-constrained devices that cooperate to perform one or more functions of a cloud computing system.

Distributed processing system

A building sensor node of a sensor network system, wherein the sensor node includes one or more memory devices configured to store instructions thereon, that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to execute a first function to provide a first functionality, wherein the first function is associated with a next function identifier of a next function. The instructions further cause the one or more processors to transition between a number of states of a state machine based on the next function identifier, verify execution of the next function by comparing the next function identifier to a table of allowed transitions receive an additional function from a server, and update the sensor node to provide a second functionality to the sensor node without rebooting the sensor node based on the additional function received from the server.

Wireless sensor network

A server system can receive an assertion of an alarm condition from a security system that processes sensor signals from sensors and that triggers the alarm condition. The server system is can send messages to determined nearby sensors to start sending data back to the server system according to the alarm condition. The server system can analyze sensor data received from the sensors. The analysis includes a verification of the alarm condition, a determination of how often queried data is requested, and a determination of which of selected data received from selected sensors to forward to one or more mixed reality devices. The server system can forward data to the one or more mixed reality.

Holographic technology implemented security solution

Disclosed are techniques that use mixed reality, e.g., augmented reality and virtual reality technologies to improve analysis of security situations. The techniques allow a guard (or other user in a facility) to observe persons in a facility and determine merely by looking at such persons through a mixed reality device whether those persons are authorized to be in the facility or not, irrespective of whether those persons are required or not required to publically display some credentials, such as a badge or the like.

A system and method for detecting speech from occupants in a building management system is disclosed. Building management systems include fire alarm systems, building automation systems and security systems, in examples. Installed devices deployed within the building include audio transducers that detect speech from the occupants, and a management system panel processes the information from the installed devices and processes the detected speech from the occupants. In a fire alarm system, in one example, the fire alarm panel processes the detected speech from fire sensor devices and alarm notification devices as the installed devices. The fire alarm panel and/or its installed devices can identify commands from the detected speech for controlling and testing the fire alarm management system. In embodiments, Artificial Intelligence (AI) subsystems can be further added to the building management systems for control and information services.

A home network Intrusion and Detect on Protection System (IDPS) is described. The Home Network IPDS provides a managed client solution that secures client home networks including both wired and wireless networks. The home networks can include not only computer devices and mobile devices, but also can include other connected devices such as smart devices. In embodiments, a software agent hosted on devices within the client's home network detects and scans for threats and provides remediation for the threats including blacklisting and placing compromised devices in a quarantined state. Logs created in response to threats are compared against known threats, and device reputation databases in a service network are maintained for the devices in each managed client network.

Home network intrusion detection and prevention system and method

A system includes plural sensor devices installed at a premises and a server computer coupled to a network and in communication with a gateway, which receives a risk profile for a physical premises, collect sensor information from the plural sensor devices and receives data feeds relevant to a location of the physical premises and execute one or more learning models to continually analyze the collected sensor information and data feeds to produce operational decisions based on the sensor information and data feeds to predict changes to risk profiles based on the continual analysis of sensor information and which determines responses to new risk profiles that are produced. The system also includes an engine for monitoring the sensor devices to recognize occurrences of events, and ask, through an interface to a human for additional information to confirm an occurrence of one or more of the events.

Sensor based system and method for premises safety and operational profiling based on drift analysis

Disclosed are techniques that use mixed reality, e.g., augmented reality and virtual reality technologies to improve analysis of retail processes and activity in retail establishments. A server system receives images from a mixed reality device, which images including representations of physical objects and receives voice data from the mixed reality device and executes a cognitive agent to process the voice data received from the mixed reality device that generates a set of virtual objects that include data describing merchandising process concepts regarding the set of physical objects, based on input queries received in the voice data and sending by a server system, the set of virtual objects to the mixed reality device.

A networked system for managing a physical intrusion detection/alarm includes an upper tier of server devices, comprising: processor devices and memory in communication with the processor devices, a middle tier of gateway devices that are in communication with upper tier servers, and a lower level tier of devices that comprise fully functional nodes with at least some of the functional nodes including an application layer that execute routines to provide node functions, and a device to manage the lower tier of devices, the device instantiating a program manager that executes a state machine to control the application layer in each of the at least some of the functional nodes.
