Data analytics reporting (DAR) of a Radio Access Network (RAN) key performance indicator (KPI) from a data extraction entity (DEE) to a data analytics entity (DAE) in a data analytics process (DAP) is performed via an interface. The DEE is comprised in a gNB-Distributed Unit (gNB-DU) or a function therein. The DAE is comprised in a gNB-Centralized Unit (gNB-CU) or a function therein. A dataset regarding said KPI is transmitted from the DEE to the DAE. Said dataset comprises at least one empirical statistical moment mdetermined by the DEE. Each of the at least one empirical statistical moment mis determined by the DEE based on the following equation: sis a data sample of the KPI, and Nis a number of samples contributing to the respective moment m.

Method, device, and system for data analytics reporting

A radio access system includes: a set of radio access entities, in particular a set of gNBs and/or ng-eNBs, which are interconnected via respective first interfaces; and a centralized resource controller. Each radio access entity of the set of radio access entities comprises a centralized unit (CU) and at least one distributed unit (DU) coupled to the CU via a second interface. A method for coordinated scheduling with transmission point blanking of a plurality of radio resources includes: a) calculating a first metric value for each combination of a mobile station of a network and each of a plurality of radio resources; b) calculating a second metric value for each combination under the assumption that at least one of the at least two base stations which is not connected to the respective mobile station using a concerned radio resource is muted; c) selecting the highest calculated metric value; d) determining whether or not to assign the radio resource to the mobile station corresponding to the highest metric value; e) setting the other metric values corresponding to the radio resource to a predefined metric value; and f) repeating steps c) to e) for the next highest metric value until all metric values are set to the predefined metric value.

A method to guide the placement of new small cell, wherein a small cell is a radio cell station with much smaller coverage area than a macro cell, having one or more existing wireless cells, one or more mobile devices of known location and application use and context, a processor and database system, a new small cell, a device for guiding the user in the placement of the new small cell, includes the steps: the location dependant measured network characteristics and location dependant contextual data needs of the mobile device are recorded and stored in the database system over time; and the contents of the database system are used to determine the likely future location specific network needs, such that this information together with the characteristics of the new small cell are used to determine the placement co-ordinates of the new small cell, and use the placement co-ordinates to guide a user in the placement of the new small cell, with the device for guiding the user.

A method for optimizing handover behavior in a mobile radio network includes: a) determining, during a first period of time, the handover behavior of at least one base station of the mobile radio network, with current configuration values of the handover parameters of the at least one base station; b) evaluating a current configuration of the at least one base station based on the determined handover behavior during the first period of time; c1) in the case that step b) does not indicate a need for optimization: repeating steps a) and b); or c2) in the case that step b) indicates a need for optimization: setting an optimization parameter A to a maximum value Amax; and d) modifying configuration values of at least one handover parameter.
